Our water heater broke over night and there was water in our basement. Jacob got to our house quickly with a new water heater and did an outstanding job for an even better price! I highly recommend using Jacob for your plumbing needs.
Very nice man who knows exactly what to do, and how to solve the problem. I appreciate his kind demeanor and professionalism.
Tim was prompt, knowledgeable and very courteous. It can be difficult to get service during the holidays. But Tim was right here to help. He did some extra ducting and valves to bring ducts up to code and replace valves before it was an emergency. BUT he held the price he had quoted to replace my gas hot water heater. He left the work area clean and he put drop cloths down to protect flooring. I am highly pleased would would recommend Tim Haven tio anyone I know.
Dimitar was very professional. He was able to solve a "fit" problem in the water heater closet in my older home - new water heaters are larger than the old one. He finished the install quickly, checked all the safety features, insured I knew how to operate the new valves and pilot light and left everything clean. His pricing was very fair and I would absolutely hire him again and recommend his work.
I had Tom come to my house and he gave me an assessment of my furnace ( no gas, pilot light could not be lit ). We are not rich people and so I had hoped that it could be fixed. Unfortunately, the part that needed to be replaced was very expensive ( $400-$450 ). My furnace is very old ( over 25 years old ). Tom quoted a price for a new furnace and it was reasonable. It was an unexpected cost but it had to be done. I'm 60 years old and sometimes in these situations, you wonder if you are being taken advantage of. After talking it over with Tom, I felt very comfortable that it was something that needed to be done. We made an appointment for the next available day that he and I were able to handle ( within a week )and he came and installed the new furnace. Tom was very professional and did an outstanding job. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I had a question about a noise I was getting from my Rinai tankless water heater and he said he would take a look at it. I didn't know this but he also installs hot water heaters AND tankless water heaters! He had an idea what the problem might be and after checking the system, he fixed it. It doesn't make the noise anymore and my wife and I are so happy. Not only that but he was nice enough not to charge us. When you're on a budget, this type of service is a God send. Also, I asked him if he knew of a plumber because next to my furnace ( that was in my crawl space ) was a terrible leak in one of my pipes. He recommended Pipecraft Plumbing, a small Mom and Pop ( just like Tom's )operation. Jacob, the owner came to my house and gave me a free estimate. Many companies come to your house and charge you for just coming down, neither Tom or Jacob, charge you for coming down and assess the problem. I also had problems with flooding in my crawlspace during the rainy times. He said it was my sump pump. The bottom line is that I had him fix all the problems and feel much more comfortable now. And, I forgot to mention that I had Jacob to look at my kitchen faucet because there was low pressure and he fixed that at no extra charge. I am so satisfied with Tom's service and recommendation of Jacob that I needed to express myself in this review. It's hard to find trustworthy people but I think I have found two of them. I highly recommend them! Thank you Tom and Jacob.
I needed to have a pipe repair inspected and an outside water bib repaired. I asked Jason to replace the pipe that was repaired, but he told me there was no need to replace the pipe. I appreciate his honesty because replacing the pipe as requested would have doubled the amount I paid for the water bib repair. Jason was always prompt and courteous with his communication. I will definitely be doing business with Jason in the future.
Couldn't say enough good things about Simpson Home Services. My situation was that I had a water heater go out at a rental property. The pilot light wouldn't stay lit and after one of the bigger named company charged me $300 for parts in their attempt to fix, that company on their 3rd visit decided I needed to replace the water heater, where they conveniently had one in their truck outside ready to go, for the sweet price of $2400. After shopping the actual units at Home Depot / Lowes, I quickly saw that $2400 for a new Water Heater is legitimate robbery. Enter Charlie from Simpson Home Services. His price was fair (got about 6 Bids from Thumbtack) and he was very responsive. Here is where it gets better. Some might think Im crazy, or to trust worthy, but, with my current day job I was unable to get to Home Depot to purchase the water heater. Therefore my only option was to have Charlie from Simpson Home Services go to Home Depot, pull the unit and have Home Depot ring me and use my Home Depot Card and Social Number as a form of payment. At that point, it could have been real daylight Robbery. I had (and still haven't), ever met Charlie in person. My only communication had (still has!) been over phone, but he had great reviews on thumbtack already so I knew we would be ok. Once he completed the job, I paid him over the phone using my debit card. Sure enough, writing this today some weeks after Charlie did his work. My New Water heater is working perfectly and I couldn't say enough good things about Charlie from Simpson Home Services. His work is legit, he gets 10 Stars for Trustworthiness and honesty and I would definitely without a doubt hire him again. ***For anyone installing a water heater and questioning the whole permit situation. I did a lot of research and there seems to be mixed ideas about wether you have to pull a permit or don't have to. I have even been out looking at purchasing a new house here in Denver over the last few weeks and I asked my realtor about permits on replacement water heaters and even she had mixed ideas. So then I went to that iPhone / Android Neighborhood App that everyone is on and planted my question there, also mixed reviews about pulling permits. I think the general concensios is do it if you really want to. If your reselling your house, the buyer might ask to see a permit, but in todays market (sellers market still in 2018), it might not be questioned at that stage. Point being, my research showed 50/50 on who would and who wouldn't. Either way you go, you can still use Charlie and Simpson Home Services as I did. He completes the work, you then apply for the permit, they come inspect it and then your done. I wanted to share this as this is the route I took. I also trust Charlie and Simpson Home Services enough that if the inspector had found a problem, that Charlie would have made a Trip back to fix it for free*** Thanks again Charlie (still haven't met you!) And thank you Thumbtack for yet another sweet hookup to a quality Tradesman.
We worked with Todd from out of state , with a rental property! He was very quick responding , and did a great job. He even picked up our water heater. I would highly recommend , and our tenants were very pleased!!!
Very quick to respond and get the job done. He responded in the first couple mins I posted and the water heater was done and installed by the next couple hours.
I had 2 issues that were beyond me, including a leak and an issue with cold water on the shower. The first was fixed very easily and at a reasonable price, and the other (due to being late in the day and the question of 'should we open up the wall') we stopped short of fixing but found out what it was and wasn't. There was very good diagnostics Dan and his assistant were both very courteous, and thorough. They explained what had to happen to make it work. They had good ideas, and were open to me not accepting a part that we'd attempted to use but later ruled out as the real issue. The price was reasonable for what was done. While I wish the problem I had could have been fixed 100% - the next steps were something I wasn't yet comfortable with. I will go back to Dan again if we decide to open up some walls to complete the fix on the shower issue.
David, has been such a help! On Sunday evening, my renter needed assistance with the hot water heater (no gas light = no hot shower!). He went over at 7:30 pm on a Sunday to take care of the issue right then! He also advised me that the heater was likely going to fail soon (11 years old) and to put on my radar that I may need to budget for a replacement. He outlined clearly, and without pressure the pros and cons of waiting (it could leak out) or replacing soon. I decided to move forward with the replacement and he just completed the project. The workmanship and price he provided for his service is unmatched. Thank you for ensuring my renter has hot water and saving my floors!
Our newly installed electric dryer had no power ~ and Chris came to the rescue by responding to our plea within 10 minutes. He found the problem in our circuit box and replaced the broken part in no time. We highly recommend Chris & will use him again.
Replaced a water heater. Gave me a nice deal. Thank you
A few months back, my hot water heater went out. I contacted several companies, but decided to proceed with A&K HVAC. With my hot water heater caput, Kirk, (the owner), understood and knew the hardship I was enduring without hot water to my house. He worked quickly with me to resolve the problem. Within two days his company installed a brand new hot water heater. Kirks company isnt some giant monopoly, but I personally find a huge value in that these days. He was personal, and down to earth. I wasnt forced to speak with secretaries and schedulers, ugh, I cant even begin tell you how nice that is! The range, and quality of all the products he offered, was quite extensive. He wasnt brand loyal as some of his competitors stated they were, when I conducted my research prior. He was prompt at returning calls and communication as well. He also was highly affordable. He was efficient, and got the job done exactly within the time frame he indicated. I would highly recommend A&K HVAC to anyone without any reservation.
Michael found the problem and replaced our water heater. He’s knowledgeable, fair, and fast! He was easy to work with. Thanks!!
Sam came on a Sunday to help us out. Replaced our water heater. He left the area spotless! Such a great guy! Hire him!!!
Right away the first guy came to check the toilets and shut off the water. Next day a different guy came to replace the old toilets. And now they're all working great. No more wasting water. I am so relieved.
They arrived when they estimated it. I have maintenance done on my furnace every other year and I knew the igniter was getting close to being replaced. When they cleaned the furnace, I mean clean, taken apart, washed a couple of items that can be washed. They replaced the igniter, put it all back together again, is it SO clean. This was the best then what was done in the past. I mean they checked an area in the furnace, that if maintenance was not being done, it would show (can't remember the name of area). They complemented me for taking care and being diligent to the maintenance. They checked my water heater and some maintenance needed to be done, I saw what needed to be done. This was the first time my water heater was every checked!! I recommended it highly. Would I recommend this company, you bet! His bid was a little high, but after reading what was covered etc. I felt good about his description. I felt paying a little extra would be worth it, it was.
I found tons of black particles in our hot water. I called Sys-co and they were here in two hours for a free diagnostic assessment. Turns out my flex hoses on the water heater had to be replaced. The plumber came early he next morning, took off his boots when walking on carpet, and replaced the hoses with reliable cooper pipes to solve the problem. In and out in under an hour, including clean up. Quality workmanship, too. Very polite and professional young man. I have a new favorite plumber! Thank you!
I am happy with the service and installation provided by HVAC Plus. One job turned into two and then into a few more. I will have Rich Philbrick's crew back out in the spring for additional work as well. Rich installed our main home furnace, a hot water heater, a Generac generator, a garage gas heater, and a secondary furnace in the upstairs. Needless to say, I've seen a lot of Rich this year. We felt his prices were fair, the installations were done properly and once on the schedule, the jobs were completed in a timely manner. We are happy with the Amana products recommended which have the stainless steel tubular heat exchanger. It's nice to know we won't have to worry about replacement for a long, long time. There were also service companies Rich subcontracted with; Jay's Electric for wiring the generator, heating, and air, and a crane company that moved the generator to the backyard. Both were very good companies to work with. This makes it easier getting through a project when you know those recommended are qualified and produce quality work. I appreciate that a lot. Thanks Rich and to your HVAC Plus crew.
These guys are Great! they took care of our house during our master bathroom renovation and it looks great. they went the extra mile for us and installed a water heater for us last minute decision. we would highly recommend them
