I had purchased an old, old house near Denver and asked Robert to help me remodel it. It was a real mess looked like maybe, it was worth 5 cents. Well, I gave a bit more than that, but the work involved the following: insulate the exterior walls, the floor, and the ceiling area; remove the bathroom fixtures and keeping with the age of the house install salvaged period fixtures, then do the same with the light fixtures ( I could not believe the fixtures he came up with for the bath and house lighting, they were incredible). It was then that I realized I was going to be in for a real treat. This young man I thought I would do a favor giving him a job and something to do, was making my old old house into a very charming roomy home anyone would be proud to entertain mom and dad, a lady friend, or just a best friend. And after filling in a floor furnace hole in the living room with matching hard wood and sanding and totally refinishing floors through the house I was really imbarrished with what I had agreed to pay him. He had a lot more experience than the freckles and wrinkles on his face told me when I first met him. I ask him what his family did for a living and he explained his dad was a carpenter having worked with GE Johnson at one time and retired a facilities Project Manager for the County of Los Angeles, his mother was a high end interior decorator near the Broadmore area and his older brother was an Architect. I figure he has made me near a 100 grand, and I did pay him more. If you are so lucky to have Bobby do some work for you, you will not be disappointed. don't let his freckles and wrinkles fool you. He is an artist! And he really means it when he says that he takes a lot of pride in the work he finishes.
