Jeffs mastery of music is matched only by the excellence of his teaching. He possesses an intrinsic understanding of the individual needs of his students and teaches them to love what is difficult. They do not make the learning journey alone Jeff is there to assist his students in every way possible. Now in my second year of guitar lessons with Jeff, the quality of his instruction continues to impress me.
My son was hesitant to start his guitar lessons, and if he didn’t like it, it would be a major ordeal to get him in the car to go. I work like everyone and have zero time left. The fact that Tess comes to the house to teach - while I prepare dinner - is freaking awesome. What a time saver. And shes made it a great experience by offering tons of encouragement and lots of laughter wrapped up in a neat 30 min session. Highly recommend.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Doug for a couple years now. I started off never playing guitar before and was really unsure of myself. Doug encouraged me, built a lesson based on my abilities and before I knew it, I was actually playing songs. Doug encourages you to play a mixture of songs that are within your abilities and songs that will challenge you, this way you don't get discouraged and you are pushed to increase your abilities, he also teaches you songs you like and actually want to learn, no Mary Had a Little Lamb. Doug is incredibly patient, builds your confidents and makes learning fun. You can't go wrong choosing him as your teacher.
My son Stephen is REALLY enjoying his piano lessons; we're very satisfied
Mr. Funk taught me how to use Cooledit Pro, now Adobe Audition, back in 2005. He did this with a couple of free online video lessons. Since then I've made 50 or more high quality multitrack recordings. To top it off he's an all around great guy and killer guitar player and teacher.
Renee is super awesome and helpful with my singing lessons. Definitely recommend.
I am an adult beginner and Lee has quickly helped me start playing. I am interested in learning various styles as well as the music theory behind them is he is doing a great job introducing these aspects throughout our lessons while also modifying our lesson plans as we progress to meet my goals.
I have only had two half-hour lessons on ukulele, but have already learned a lot from Vic. He is knowledgeable, personable, prepared, on time, and able to explain well the techniques and principles of ukulele playing.
I found this studio through a recommendation from CSU when I wanted to take lessons to learn a song for my friend's wedding. I started my lessons with Aimee Woods, and I continued my studies since then. I took lessons previously as an undergraduate student with my university, and the lessons here with Aimee Woods have been just as good, if not better than I have had previously. Aimee is great at adapting lessons to your skill set and your time commitments. I feel that I have really grown under her tutelage and will continue lessons with her as long as I remain in the Fort Collins area. I highly recommend using Magnolia Music Studio as your place to take voice lessons. It is a warm and welcoming environment, perfect for beginner or advanced students. Aimee is wonderful at what she does, I have learned a lot. Not only technique, but also how to take care of my voice. I have expanded my repertoire from typical pieces learned in college and high school, to a wide variety of different pieces that I love to sing.
Hands down one of the best instructors in the city. With a comprehensive understanding of music theory and the ability to portray that knowledge in a clear and concise way, there's no one else I would go to for lessons.
My 14 year old daughter has been taking lessons from Dustin for few years now and she has developed into a very good guitar player. He has a good rapport with his students.
My daughter has been taking lessons at Littleton School of Music for almost three years, mainly piano, but some guitar and some voice, and she has become a pretty good player. More than that, she loves music and playing and singing, and that will last her a lifetime. I love that her lessons are tailored to her musical interests and goals, and can be adjusted as those shift. A few months ago I started taking guitar lessons there myself, and I'm so happy I did. My lesson is one of the highlights of my week. The staff at the school are engaging and professional and enthusiastic. The school offers opportunities to perform for students who are so inclined. The summer band camp is an amazing experience. I just can't say enough great things about this wonderful place, and the people who work there!
Gary Sloanâs been my ukulele instructor for over a year. For me, learning to play a new instrument after struggling with the piano for many years seemed futile but I tried it anyway and thanks to Garyâs instruction, Iâm having a blast. He has the perfect demeanor for inspiring young people and older adults like myself to play and have fun with music. Heâs patient, flexible, knowledgeable, fun and extremely talented. If youâre looking for someone to help you, or a friend, or a family member embark on a musical journey, I recommend Gary Sloan.
I took lessons with Zach for about a year. I was a beginner who could play a few simple songs when I started. After that year I could walk bass lines and I have a good understanding of theory. Zach is really friendly and down to earth as well.
The teachers teach to your style. I have grown so much in my vocal singing and I feel comfortable singing in front of people! I love Flourish and would recommend it as a great beginner and expert lessons.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Rhiley has had an awesome year this year. She has grown so much from the day she walked into your studio to now. I never would have imagined she would be playing at the level she is compared to where she began. I owe this not only to Rhileys hard work but also to you for challenging her to be the best she can be. You bring things out of music that I never knew were even there. I am so thankful for the referral we got to come to Tamminga Studios.
I offer instruction in guitar, ukulele and bass. I provide music recording and music production services. I also do original composition for TV, stage and film.

We are happy to accommodate each student with any special requests that they may have.
We are a home-based studio. Our home has been converted with multiple sound-proofed areas included a space with a waiting area and a large viewing windows for parents of students. My wife, Rachel teaches piano and toddler music classes under the name Monkey Musik. I teach drums, guitar, and trumpet in a separate studio space of our home. We have taught students of all ages and skill levels for nearly 10 years. I take drum students starting at age five. I have a child-sized set and an adult sized set to accommodate any size of student from beginner to moderate skill levels. I take guitar/ukelele students starting at age seven. I can help recommend a new instrument for students if they don't have one. I don't teach tabs. I teach using a classical method that focuses on learning to read and understand written music. I also blend chord knowledge with classical knowledge from beginner to advanced skill levels. I take trumpet students starting at age 9-10 or younger on a case-by-case basis. For beginner trumpet students, I will focus on how to form an embouchure and how to play notes in the first octave. With more advanced students, I focus on range, tone, accuracy, and endurance. For moderate-advanced students, I teach from Arbans.
