Lee came out on time with an honest quote. He was able to have one of his guys get the work done the next day and followed up to make sure the job was done in a professional manner. His worker did a great job and was courteous. They made sure to leave the area clean and left no trash behind. He took the time to protect my carpent to keep it clean while going back and forth from outside to the basement. I am myself a contractor and will be sure to refer Lee and Oneguy Heating to my clients in the future.Feb 19, 2015Verified
We had Lee replace both furnaces in our home. He was great for this process; very informative, communicative, and willing to work with us. However, when an issue arose with one of the furnaces a couple weeks after instal and it required a quick follow up visit, he was horrible. He straight up forgot about two appointments we had set and then when he finally actually showed up, he was rude to my wife when she expressed displeasure with him forgetting about us, and didn't even apologize. We had both taken a day off for the missed appointments, resulting in wasted vacation time. Bottom line: he's great when he knows he's going to get paid, but pretty bad when he needs to do follow ups.Feb 4, 2015
Lee was helpful in helping me choose which furnace to buy based on my requirements. Furnaces options and price ranges vary widely and so it can get a little complicated. Lee made it simpler. I found Oneguy's quote to be better than competitors. Once I made my choice, he arrived with his installer on time. It took a lot longer than I thought -- almost 2 days which made me realize there is a lot to installing a new furnace and mine was mostly a case of removing the previous "box" and putting in a new "box" that was about the same size. There was sheetmetal work to do to make it fit and because I got a new humidifier, there was a bunch more sheetmetal work to be done. The venting had to be replaced also because it was rusty inside. I chose to partially upgrade the A/C and this took extra time because my existing A/C unit had to be recharged with new coolant. And my gas line was leaking (a county energy audit had discovered this) and a valve was replaced. So even though it was just a box switch, there was a lot of work to be done! The furnace area looks great. The work is tidy. This is hard to describe. Everything just looks like it is where it should be. There's no metal bits sticking out. My brother who built his own home (including installing the furnace himself) looked it over and declared it a good job. Replacing one's furnace is hard work. It's best to do some upfront research. Consumer Reports online has some helpful educational material. And then there's getting quotes. It isn't easy as a consumer, but once I hired Oneguy, it got easier and it turned out great!Jan 28, 2015
