About this pro
Kaleb did an outstanding job on my project. He even picked the supplies up at Lowe’s on his way. Will definitely hire again. Don’t shop around, hire Kaleb!Jul 24, 2018Verified
One of the worst subcontractors I’ve ever hired. Showed up late, did a sub-par job and refused to come back and complete the scope of work we paid him for. He also brought his whole family over to the job site and were eating lunch inside. Very weird. I’d never hire this guy again to do anything. Save your time and money and hire someone else.Apr 19, 2018VerifiedKaleb S.'s reply
The scope on this job was complete and signed of on by your site manager. The punch list that was written by your project manager was completed. If the project was sub par then the final would not have been. Paid. It’s hard to keep a good timeline when the entire house was nothing but a total mess with multiple trades in at one time. I apologize that you feel like we are bad sub contractors. But we did everything that our contract specified and you paid the final.
Overall experience was very good. He did an excellent job on our project.Feb 18, 2018Verified
Kaleb is very personable and engaging. He’s got great ideas and is a good listener. The bid he wrote was very detailed and fair. We are very satisfied.Jan 17, 2018Verified
My husband and I hired Custom Builders LLC (Kaleb) to tear down the half hall staircase leading to the second level of our home and replaced it with a open rail and baluster staircase. Kaleb's responsiveness throughout the job was great. We where kept informed about the timing of when materials would arrive and when each segment of the job would be completed. Kaleb's work is high quality and he kept a very clean work space between each segment of the project. We got very good value for the job. We had done some research about prices before we hired Custom Builders and found Kaleb's price for the job was very reasonable. The timing on completion of each segment of the job was longer than planned. Completion time was double the time that was initially set. There were a number of issues with getting the correct materials from Kaleb's vender. If you are willing to work with a small contractor who does the work himself Kaleb Shultz (Custom Builders LLC) is your guy.Mar 27, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We do not have standard pricing. We have fair market pricing that is usually lower than most other people. I am not a huge company so I do not have a large amount of overhead.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet with the customer at the property if they wish or if they're not comfortable with that at a neutral location such as a coffee shop or something like that. At that point we can discuss what they're looking for and if they feel comfortable after talking for a bit then we can walk the property and proceed from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been a carpenter my entire life. I have a partial degree in AutoCAD. I am A fourth generation Carpender. I have passed the N13 ICC exam and can be licensed in any county nation wide.
