- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? If you are retaining our services via Thumbtack, it means we have an unbooked date that we have the time and interest to fill. If we put down a bid on a Thumbtack job it is for a "capture fee". Meaning we generally shoot a couple thousand pictures, we don't watch the clock. We shoot from when it's interesting to when it's not. You only want so many pictures of your uncle dancing with a tie on his head, trust me. :) We take the couple thousand pictures and weed them down to around 250. This is kind of our magic number because it gives us enough images to make any kind of album you could ever want, without loosing the really great stuff in the mix. Think about it kind of like seeing the forest for the trees. The 250 are processed with "special sauce" to a printable output and delivered via thumb drive or web media, at your discretion. Any exceptions to this basic pricing package are generally extended because you have an way "off peak" wedding, or you're getting married on choppers in the desert, or elephants, or you happen to be extra terrestrials, and we just think it's cool, so we do it for peanuts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We have both taught photography and feel that teaching is the best way to learn. Also, if you blink long enough in this industry it will pass you by. Having said that, we prefer the "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" approach to what we do. You just have fun and make the love last.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?David: "devine intervention" Justin: "it's work?"
