Snaggle Foot came twice daily to care for our two cats and our lizard while we were away on our honeymoon. This was a gift from the groom's mother, who had done a lot research into pet sitters in the New Haven area and found Snaggle Foot to have the best combination of flexible service and competitive rates. From the beginning, everything was very professional; Judy S visited our home and gave an overview of the service and inquired about other things we might possibly need (mail, plants, etc). She also asked about our pets' special needs (none in our case) and became familiar with the location of food, litter, treats, toys, etc. The service we received was fantastic -- we received updates daily/every other day (sometimes with photos) and never had any doubt that our pets were in the best of hands. When we returned home, the litter box was sparkling clean, and our cats didn't have that typical starved-for-attention-for-days attitude that they give us when we're only gone overnight. I would highly recommend Snaggle Foot for your pet care needs!

I left my cats worried, but Michele so relieved that. Took such good care, gave me updates, went above and beyond to make sure they were ok! I was so impressed by her, her caring loving heart for our "kids". I would so so keep her as our permanent pet sitter. A joy being able to leave and finally not worrying. She is awesome!!!! Blessed we found her!

Marcia is a wonderful pet sitter. We had her look after our 11 year-old cat while we were away. She sent us updates so we knew how our kitty was doing, and she left a very nice note for us for when we returned. We will have her take care of our cat the next time we go away.

I have two cats. One is a cranky territorial male who can be hostile to strangers. I have had several cat sitters who were intimated by him and needed to have a water gun handy to deal with him. But Kim, who has worked with feral cats, knew just how to handle him. Her calm demeanor (and treats) went a long way to forge a trust that allowed her to come into the house and take care of both my cats. I would definitely hire her again!

Nelly is great when comes to help out with my dog Duke. She is always on time and Duke responds well to her presence. I always feel comfortable leaving Duke in her very capable hands. Plus, she sends me a photo of my boy and a text message as to how he is currently doing. I highly recommend Nelly as a sitter for your pets.

Marilyn of London Dog Care was fantastic! After the regular pet sitter was unable to care for the pets, right before vacation, Marilyn responded, came to the house, met "The Crew ", and we were set. We 4 dogs- 1 small, and then 2 large Bully breeds, and a Cane Corso - all dog breeds that can intimidate by their presence. The dogs took to Marilyn immediately. I received updates whole on vacation, texts and photos, and I always felt at ease that my dogs were excellently taken care of. - When our plane was late coming back, Marilyn did an last minute emergency visit to the house on short notice! - I feel confident in recommending London Dog Care. Marilyn is one if very few people that has met my dogs, cared for them without hesitation inspite of their brutish looks. London Dog Care is my number 1 pet sitting service. Mimi Beaulieu

Wonderful, caring person who just loves animals and is knowledgeable about their ways, needs, likes and dislikes. Finding someone to look after four-legged family when you go away is not easy because few will love and care for them enough to make up your absence. My little cat's body language in response to Ros, however, is a give-away that she's lavished him with love and attention when looking after him: he is entirely comfortable with Ros and always delighted to see her. In the past I've put my cat into boarding (never again), and I've tried 4 other different drop-in or stay-over cat-sitters to look after him (with variable success - when I've got home it's clear that he wasn't given much attention). Now it's such a relief to have Ros look after him when I have to travel.

It's difficult to find someone to care for your pets like you do. At the same time, it's difficult to find someone who you can trust in your home. Michele did all of that and more. I came home from a week long vacation to a very happy dog and cat with no signs of separation anxiety, which has happened with other pet sitters in the past. She even took it upon herself to take the time to brush them daily. If you need a reliable, trustworthy, competent pet sitter, Michele is all that and more.

Jessica's way to deal with horses always impresses me. In addition to providing a thorough and precise service, she truly cares about horses, and she is able to establish a relationship with them from the beginning. I have two spirited warmbloods, one of which was a stallion until a few months ago, and an older rescue mare in constant need of care. When I leave for business, Jessica handles them. She puts on blankets, boots, fly masks and such, turn them out, check them for problems, makes sure they are always provided with whatever they need. All my horses, who are not the easiest horses to manage, like her very much, trust her, and are always willing to do what she asks them.Jessica keeps me constantly informed on their situation, and time and again she went the extra mile to ensure they were well. I define the service Jessica provides to my horses as outstanding, and definitely recommend her as a skilled and trustworthy horse assistant.

We have her babysit sometimes, which includes bathing, feeding, and overall caring for our 1 year old Coton. She's very loving towards our dog and is very attentive to her needs. Every time we have her babysit it seems like our dog doesn't want her to leave! She's everything we needed and could ever want in a dog sitter because of the love and attention she gives to our Gigi.

    About

I have grown up around dogs as a child and adolescent. My family has had a wire-hair fox terrier named Missy for over 13 years and a schnauzer named Muffy for 12 years. We inherited my brother's dachshund for around five to six years. On my own, I owned a West Highland Terrier named Atilla for around 10 years, so I have extensive experience with mostly smaller dogs. I have dog sat my bother's larger dog, a beautiful, black Labrador mix for two weeks every year when he went on vacation. I am currently minding my neighbor's dog at her home, a West Highland Terrier named Chloe. I walk her three times a day, and feed her and provide a little play time every day for two weeks. I love all animals but dogs are my special preference because they show emotions just like us and can be your very best friend in exchange for a little, tender, loving care. I would like to care for your dog while you are away or for whatever reason and rest assured, I am a responsible, experienced dog caregiver. I prefer going to your home, which is why I prefer local. But if your dog is fully trained and good with people, my home is also a possibility. Thank you for your consideration from one dog lover to another.
