FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a sliding scale. So the more planning I do the more it will cost. If a client tells me that they only need a DJ, it should not cost them the same amount as I would charge if I was planning the entire party or wedding. My contract does have a clause in it that addresses damage. This is the only extra cost involved in your contract. For instance if table linens are damaged and need to be replaced that would be a cost to the client. If table linens and napkins disappear ( and I have had it happen) that would be a cost to the client.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into this line of work because it has always been a passion. Creativity is a very large part of who I am. This profession allows me to be me, and at the same time help my client's achieve their dreams. Every little girl dreams of getting married and having that fairytale wedding. However gone are the days of every wedding being a totally traditional affair. Today it is very common for a bride to want something totally "different' from the norm. Thru the years I have built a network of vendors from caterers, entertainers bakery's and linen companies that has allowed me to deliver a quality event.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do all kinds of events. Our most common are weddings, showers, birthday parties for the young and young at heart. Sweet sixteen parties. We have done Hawaiian Luaus with Hula Dancers and Steel Drums. We have done 50's dances complete with poodle skirts and Elvis. We have done cocktail parties with a magician in house for entertainment.
