Maya is rarely seen without her camera in hand. This is her passion; her fire; her light. She listens closely to what the client is looking for, what the greater audience looks for, and what she as the artist envisions. The outcome is a perfect mix and the result is magical. Maya compiled a video of our family at the beach and eating lunch to help promote her videography business and innovative ideas around capturing everyday moments that cannot be captured via photos alone. In under 3 minutes of footage those moments look like a fairytale. It is a real life fairytale that has received only the highest compliments of all my friends and family who have viewed it.

I have been studying with Maya at uni and she already back then showed her talent for videography and photography. She is very enthusiastic and motivated what belongs to that and will do everything to satisfy her customers! Also, she has made a short movie of our wedding, which was simply exceptional! Watching this video, everyone can understand the eye maya has got for details; you can see that she grabs the moment and simultaneously has a very good sense for editing it, so your wedding video will be speaking for itself! Maya did such a beautiful job on our wedding video! Her vision is amazing, and her attention to detail is outstanding. She listens to what her clients are looking for, and goes above and beyond. We had planned so many little details (from decorations to surprises for our wedding guests), and Maya caught them all on video for us to enjoy for years to come. It's wonderful to watch the video over and over, and to notice something new each time. She captured all of the wonderful emotions of the wedding day. How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography and Videography are my passions. Coming from a marketing background, I use my storytelling ability along with my skill behind a lens to put together compelling pieces. After fooling around with a Canon SLR and creating short films of my travels three years ago, along with working constantly on my blog Our Name is Farm [www.ournameisfarm.com], I realized that this was a profession tailor-made to my skill set.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Lifestyle pieces that set the mood and capture the essence of a place, person or featured thing.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I filmed the homecoming of the USS Virginia while volunteering there for the day. It was the most moving experience, and putting together that footage for the sailors and their family was incredibly rewarding. I cried several times watching it afterwards, remembering the deep emotion in the day, and I tried my hardest to portray that emotion in my final piece.
