Introduction: How I stand out is--my choice of colors and my painting technique. I use both a brush and a painter's knife or a combination of both--this creates more depth of color on the canvas. I love working with rich colors (sunsets, the magic of the winter light and day's end reflecting on the snow), and heavy paint. An old word for color is chroma. And that is what I want in my paintings--plenty of chroma. I also strive to capture the feel of a place--I want the viewer to see and feel the colors of nature. Almost, to be able to hear what is happening while I am creating. Working with my clients, and hearing what they feel about my work, and if a painting is stirring up memories. I love the creative process...painting. I love painting, and teaching. Helping students with their creations.
