Introduction: Jamie Petrone is the Executive Director and Founder of THISAbility, a performing arts conservatory and professional theatre company, cultivating inclusion in the arts. The mission of THISAbility is to educate enhance, empower and promote the advancement of performers of mixed abilities, creating opportunities for FULL inclusion and diversity in the arts.
Jamie is the musical director for numerous productions through The Westchester Sandbox Theatre and Queens Theatre in NYC, and teaches voice and piano privately.

I took voice lessons with Jamie Petrone for about four and a half years (all throughout high school and for a bit of time after). I have also participated in every one of her Mastering the Audition workshops. Jamie is an exceptional teacher. Not only did my voice greatly improve during my time with her, but my confidence did as well. When I started lessons with Jamie, I would barely sing in front of anyone. By the end of my first year with Jamie I was singing in front of crowds without any problem in school musicals and Jamie's voice recitals and workshops. You can learn so much from Jamie. She has a huge amount of talent and experience to share and she has the ability to turn anyone into a performer. I've seen her inspire confidence and stage presence into so many kids. Additionally, she really cares about each one of her students and has a unique relationship with every one of them. I can't recommend Jamie highly enough, taking lessons with her truly changed my life!

I started taking voice lessons with Jamie in 2008. Jamie quickly helped me transform from a shy choir singer into a confident solo performer. I've learned so much from her. She was a huge help in preparing me for college auditions, in which I was accepted to my top choice schools. Jamie is friendly, patient, and her knowledge of musical theatre is endless. I would definitely recommend anyone and everyone interested in singing and/or playing piano.

Jamie is awesome. My 8 yr old daughter loved her first piano lesson with Jamie. Jamie explained everything clearly and didn't criticize her when she made mistakes.
