Introduction: I am a trained guitar player with 16 years experience in writing, recording, performing, touring, and teaching. I have a rich background in a variety of styles of popular music and music theory. I have taken part in countless recording sessions for the past 16 years and have done session work for other musicians, had international write-ups and praise for various groups I've written and performed with over the years, as well as a background in bass guitar, piano, and voice as well. I currently have multiple private students and am looking forward to take on more. My lessons are appropriate for all age ranges, for the beginning and intermediate levels, and are tailored to the exact needs of the particular student in regards to physical exercises, music theory emphasis, and stylistic focus. I have an easy-going and friendly demeanor that people take an immediate liking to, and am incredibly supportive and patient with all my students in my goal to help them realize their musical potential. I also am a certified luthier from the prestigious Roberto Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, Az. A luthier in common terms is a guitar builder/repair person. This is an added bonus for my students due to the fact that I am qualified to upkeep and repair their instruments, which I do for free or at a discounted cost for students, depending on the nature of the upkeep/repair. While I have 16 years of experience and training, I am still relatively young (30 years of age) and still gig all around New England with a couple of rock groups. So, younger students are at ease with me and find they can relate to me and don't find me stuffy. Conversely, I handle myself in a professional manner, and am mature and well-spoken enough that older students are at ease around me as well, and will be pleased by my knowledge and appreciation of older, more timeless music as well. While I do not mind having students travel to my place for lessons, I do prefer to give the lessons at the customer's home in order to respect the privacy of my roommates. However, if the customer is not comfortable with the lessons taking place in their home, my home will suffice as it is quiet, drug-free and professional, and provides a pleasant atmosphere.
