Many who bring home a new puppy fall in love and quickly learn how challenging and utterly unruly a real Marley can be. Even worse, ever see a beautiful pup in a crate for the first 3 years of it's life becasue "they're too hyper"? The best life gift I gave myself and my pup was not adopting her, but making the investment in the Stonehill Kennel obedience program. 2 1/2 years later and she has never begged, never chewed on anything, never ruined anything in my house and everyone we meet falls in love becasue she is so easy to be around. I've never scolded her, never told her she's a bad dog, never even gotten frustrated with her once. Just pure enjoyment. From a business perspective, Stonehill, knows their business in side and out. I have been thankful many times over the years for their ongoing guidance. They have gone above and beyond in every way including providing much needed advice when emergencies or questions arise. Did I mention I live 4 hours away and still rely on them when I need something. It's been said that going through the love/hate relationship with an unruly/unmanageable dog builds a stronger bond. Whoever subscribes to this has never experienced enjoying every single minute with their dogs. Literally every single second. All the good with no bad. Think about that...and...Do it.

My wife and I highly recommend stone hill kennel's training program for any dog, but for high drive, dominant or troubled dogs their 6 week in kennel training program is a must. at first glance it seems expensive, but if you break it down over the years you will have a perfect and obedient dog it is not expensive at all. These guys are professionals in every way.Chris helped us before we even got our german shepherd puppy about the dogs place in our pack when we bring him home. This is the part most people don't understand and end up giving their dog away or worse putting the dog down. His many years of dealing with all kinds of what I call " tough "dogs and the mindset of these dogs is so valuable. He really spent a lot of time with us to make sure we understood how to follow through with the training and how to live with a well balanced dog. His staff are all very professional and make you feel at ease. they really spend as much time as you need with them. We can't finish without saying how much we both think of Dan Hartley, he is just a great guy and a super dog trainer. He is the greatest asset to the kennel. he was so patient with us and never made us feel foolish even though we did. He walked us through every step of training, explaining everything. He has handled all types of dogs, and always figures out the best plan for each dog. We had a very tough and dominant german shepherd and Dan did such a great job with him it was unbelievable. The dog is just so obedient and loves to work. Most importantly my wife and the dog are inseparable. it's a great feeling. I have had 4 german shepherd dogs and none as well behaved as our present dog trained at Stonehill. Overall ,I would say Stonehill kennel is an excellent choice for your dog. Whatever type of dog you have. They have the total package for you. Perry and Diane Simone

We took our dog to Stonehill Kennel for training when he was 6 months old. I especially wanted him to have training because I work at a school that allows teachers to bring well behaved dogs to class. This has worked out wonderfully. Our dog is gentle and obedient. I can walk him around the playground and then put him “in place” on the grass. He will stay where I tell him to even with children coming over to visit him and then going back to their play. There is no fence around our playground. He knows he has to stay in his “place” until he is released by me or another adult. He spent 6 weeks at Stonehill Kennel. It was hard for our family to be without him for 6 weeks and we worried about him missing the creature comforts of home. When it was time for us to come up for our training with him it was easy to see that he was very happy and had developed a bond with his trainer. Of course he was happy to see us too. We were impressed with the lifetime guarantee that is part of the six week training package; that he can come back for a refresher anytime if needed. We have not found a refresher to be necessary but I have called on occasion for advice. Chris has always returned my call promptly and given us helpful advice. Our dog is now 6 years old. He is a small breed, 18 pounds. I believe that this training program is as valuable for small dogs as it is for large dogs. People often remark about his good behavior. I have and will continue to recommend Stonehill Kennel to anyone interested in improving their relationship with their dog.

Chris, Dan, and Staff, Well, to sum things up I brought to Stonehill Kennels a happy-go lucky, out-of-control puppy of 10 months who always heard me but only obeyed when it was convenient for him and brought back a 11 month old trained dog who listens to me and awaits my command. The transformation was simply amazing. While I am very proud of and happy for Bogey, our white Lab, I am equally proud of and most thankful to Dan for the professional work he did for canine and owner alike. In the weeks/months following the formal training, Bogey and I are developing each day into a stronger team. Thanks Dan for your expertise (with Bogey) and patience (with me). I now have the tools and Bogey has the motivation to continue honing our skills and building trust ... it is indeed a beautiful, heartwarming thing. All the best to you folks, Slush (the pack leader), Liang (Her Majesty), and Bogey boy

Chris Byrne possesses the perfect blend of training expertise and social intelligence. His balanced approach (with dogs and humans) combines a rigorous, targeted and results-oriented program, with a calm and compassionate spirit. I couldn't have imagined a better program than Stonehill. The team is talented, dedicated and professional and the results were transformational. And the great thing is that their commitment doesn’t stop after 6 weeks; they’re with you for as long as you need them. I was a bit trepidatious about enrolling my dog for such a long time, but as Chris said, “several weeks with us will reap years of happiness with your dog.” He was right. My dog is so well behaved AND happy! Chris and the Stonehill team exceeded my expectations. Thank you!!
