Jim was awesome, he met me at Home Depot and gave me recommendations for good ceiling fans. Got everything installed including him having to crawl in my attic to fix a loose wire. Would highly recommend him and he loves dogs! Big plus!
Shane did a great job fixing my bathroom fan/ vent. I am definitly hiring him as my primary handyman.
David repaired our gutter that had pulled away from the roofline. He was responsive, professional and reasonably priced and did a great job! We will be hiring him for further work.
Bob removed an old exhaust fan in the wall over the stove including the exterior vent. On the outside, this involved removing vinyl siding, insulating and covering the hole, and then cutting and putting siding up over it. He was fully equipped and skilled for the job and did it meticulously, with care and pride. He responded quickly to my original call-out and did the job for the originally estimated price which was reasonable. I would definitely hire him again for other jobs. Very pleased with the result!
Jason and Mike did an excellent job installing bathroom fan, two hard-wired smoke detectors, outdoor flood lights, and a closet light. Professional and timely work.
We hired Jeff to install some can lighting in our house and replace several ceiling fans. Jeff quoted us a very fair price for the work, responded very quickly, and did an absolutely excellent job on the instillation. He was a very knowledgeable and professional electrician, and had great suggestions / recommendations for how man ceiling lights to install in order to provide optimal lighting conditions and reduce unwanted dark spots and shadows. Jeff was very punctual and responsive, and worked really hard to make sure he used matching swithces and cover plates that were the right size for the wall. Additionally, Jeff identified an issue in the initial electrical instillation of the ceiling fans which were attached to lighting dimmers (not fan speed dimmers) which eventually burnt out the motor of one of the fans. It was a pleasure to work with Jeff, and I would hire him for any electrical problem in the future. Thanks so much!
Vincent is a wonderful individual as well as his apprentice, that came to my home to install some lighting/ceiling fan. I would give them a ten for sure, and will certainly have future work done by Vincent's company. Thank You for a great experience !
had some electrical done on my gazebo , all worked out good and works great love having electrical outside and using my ceiling fan
Showed up on time and had all electrical work done well in a timely fashion. Installed a ceiling fan and other work.
Stu just completed a number of small jobs for me: installing a ceiling fan, replacing hard wired fire alarms, replaced some baseboard moldings as well as a couple of baseboard heater covers, and a larger job of installing replacement kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers faces and hardware. He took pride in his workmanship and keeping both his quoted cost and commitment. I highly recommend First Choice Property Services and won't hesitate to call upon them again.
Very positive experience. Tony performed high quality, quick and clean job by installing 3 ceiling fans in our bedrooms on the 2nd floor. We already asked Tony for a quote on a 2nd project we had in mind. Definitely will hire him again!! Thank you Tony.
Virgil did a lot of work on my town house he changed 24 outlets and switches, a new ceiling fan, a great paint shop! I met him on a Saturday and all work was completely finished in 3 days. He is extremely courteous and is great at what he does!
I Had Josh put in 2 ceiling fans and some out door lighting at my house. He was there when he said he would be and provided Professional services at an affordable price.
I have an 80's condo that needs a full remodel and wasn't sure where to start. Mark was recommended to me by a coworker. He came in, looked the place over, discussed my must haves and my wish list and gave me an estimate on the first project. Starting on the main level he removed a partition wall to open my kitchen. Then he removed the popcorn finish on my cathedral ceiling, refinished and painted it. I was very happy with the results so I had him continue with my list. I work a lot so I gave him a key. He comes and goes as he needs to and I have no worries. He installed my bamboo floors on a diagional because it's the design I wanted. When I couldn't get trim to match he took flooring to his shop and made custom transitions and thresholds. He installed a tile entry with more custom trim. He built an island where the wall had been to hold my new sink and dishwasher which included relocating the plumbing, electrical and all new outlets. He even made "countertops" out of cardboard so I could see exactly how it would all fit in the room and where to locate the faucet. Through all of this he has been easygoing and helpful with the many decisions I needed to make. He also had no problem with me doing what I can-painting and cabinets to keep costs down and working with the tradesmen I brought in to do code work. I have recommended him to friends and family one of whom thanked me for sending her "a guy who is so honest" when he told her it would be cheaper for her to replace a damaged ceiling than to have him patch it up. Next will be new floors, more popcorn removal, ceiling fixtures and new tile in the bathroom upstairs and Mark will be doing all of it. This is not my first reno but it is as easier than any of the others. I will post pictures shortly so you can see why I'm so happy.
Paul arrived to my house on time. I explained him the electrical problems, I had no power in my living room circuits. My ceiling fan did not work either. Paul inspected the switches and wires and in the fuse box he discovered a malfunctioning circuit breaker. He changed the breaker on site and even helped me wire the ceiling fan also. He was very courteous and helpful explaining my issues and how to improve my electrical system. I would recommend him to everyone.
I hired Cheshire Electric for a number of jobs at my home. Most important of which consisted of replacing a very old and unusual GE system which was highly unreliable, the installation of recess lights and ceiling fans around the house, and installation of an awesome home automation system. The owner, Jason Piccirillo, is always incredibly professional and courteous. I never hesitate to recommend such an outstanding local small business.
We hired Jerry to patch some loose taping on our cathedral ceiling, and to touch-up some paint areas. Jerry was quick to respond, did quality work, showed up on time all for a reasonable price. After the job was started, we had a few additional areas that he was able to address and fix. I would definitely recommend him.
We had extensive water damage to two ceilings in an older (ca. 1915) home. The reconstruction and refinishing jobs were challenging to say the least. the work produced excellent results that still look great a year later, and I'm almost ready to tackle another job which will most certainly go to Castle Care.
They did an exceptional job on the deck, new ceiling in the bathroom, and windows that were replaced. Other repairs (holes, beadboard, and kitchen flooring) were done satisfactorily. Would hire again.
I hired R & M Contracting to remodel our kitchen andwas totally happy with the way Rob Handled every detail from start to finish. When the hurricain hit us we had damage to our roof and ceilings and Rob dealt directly with our insurance company and had our home back to normal in 3 days and R & M Guarantees all of their work for 3 years labor and materials. I highly recomend R & M Contracting!
I have used Caro Construction for four major projects now, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them for all of my future jobs. This is a brief outline of some of his work for me personally from 2011 to present: 1. Apartment conversion: I had need of carpentry services to remodel and convert a large apartment I own into two smaller units. This required putting up walls, creating a new entryway and hanging doors, planning and installing a kitchen, and remodeling a bathroom. 2. Kitchen gut/remodel: This job was instigated by a water leak and an insurance claim, but we had the kitchen gutted to the studs and joists from the ceiling down. Mr. Caro worked in tandem with my insurance adjuster to handle the job on my behalf before I arrived in person to see the final result. He was very professional and the results were fantastic and economical. 3. Frozen pipe insurance claim: I had a hot water baseboard heating pipe in the wall burst in the middle of winter in one unit of a 4 unit apartment building. Mr. Caro once again worked in tandem with my insurance company to make repairs to the affected second story unit as well as the unit immediately below. This repair required subcontracting for plumbing repairs and flooring replacement, tearing out and replacing walls, insulation, and a ceiling. The job was done very quickly and very well, and when part of the insurance claim became an issue (some materials were not replaceable due to age - ceiling tiles from 1960) he worked with me to creatively and economically resolve the situation. 4. Replace front entryway stairs and porch repair: The entry to my 4 unit apartment building had stairs that were not mounted correctly below the frost line and they moved and rotted as a result. He tore the stairs off, leveled the entire structure, made some minor repairs replacing some floor boards and all rails, and built a new, level, much better staircase. 5. Many miscellaneous repairs and interior remodeling and finish work: over the years of getting great service from Caro Carpentry, I came to depend on him for all my maintenance and repairs for both my house and my 4 unit apartment building. I have found him to have excellent communication skills, accurate bids, and hes very honest and pleasant to deal with. He was very professional in his dealings with me, with other contractors he brought in for specific stages of the work in progress, and gave frequent progress reports as well as communicating the next steps during the entire process. I was very pleased with the end results of all my projects. The quality of his subcontractors was also such that I have used several of them several times for other jobs, as well.
