Marilyn was a true professional and awesome to work with. I did the boudoir shoot, and she really goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable for it. In fact, the whole experience is designed around making sure you feel comfortable and beautiful. She spends quite a bit of time with you before the shoot, getting to know your style and what you are looking for. The day of the shoot, there is plenty of pampering at the studio and you are able to see your shots the same day. It ends up being a long day but worth the wait to be able to see and select your photos on the same day. Marilyn is very creative and spends the time to coach you through the poses so they end up feeling effortless, not awkward at all. For any ladies considering doing boudoir photography I would say definitely choose Menagerie! You will feel like a supermodel and will leave the studio thinking, "that was so much fun!"

It was a full day of being pampered and feeling so beautiful and sexy. Marilyn and Tanya were very professional and paid attention to every detail of my Pinterest choices for the shoot from hair,makeup, to poses. Working with Marilyn was an absolutely marvelous experience! I was really uncertain going into the shoot, but she made me feel so comfortable (and beautiful!), gave excellent direction, and provided a delicious spread of little foods and teas. She dedicates the whole day to you, so you never feel rushed or pressured. When I came back for my photo reveal, I sat there and cried - her creative eye and vision (not to mention her skill) is so amazing, she made me look like an absolute goddess! 10/10 would work with again, and recommend to literally everyone I know!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After speaking with you, we normally have you come into our studio for a complimentary consultation so that you can meet your photographer and see the studio sets that we will incorporate into your session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate of the New York Institute of Photography
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you feel comfortable with the photographer taking your pictures and never agree to do something you are not comfortable with. There are many professional photographers available but unfortunately there are also some less than professional people posing as photographers. A professional photographer will arrange a pre-shoot meeting so that they can fully understand what you are looking for and to discuss what options are available. You should feel positive through the process and go into the photo shoot knowing you both are on the same page.
