Worst experience I have ever had purchasing a service / product. Bought a used Olhausen pool table from Mike Jameson, buyer beware!!! Was not as advertised. Mike sad it was a 5 - 6 thousand dollar table new. It's a $ 1,800 - 2,200 table new. Said solid wood in add and at my house during installation, particle board with oak lament. If that was where the lies stopped I would have been happy. Less than 2 weeks after install I notice 2 spots in the table that are unlevel - uneven. Then I found all almost all the screw holes for the slate were either raised or dimpled in. Contacted Mike, shouldn't be, couldn't be, he'd come out but would need to remove the felt and charge me to refelt the table, 2 weeks after I had it installed? He then was evasive and missed appointments to come out to repair. I called another company, A's in Watertown, CT - Thank Goodness. When they removed the felt, not 1 but 2 cracked pieces of slate. Extra wholes and poor workmanship showed Mike tried to repair onsite during istalation. Slate ended up not even being from the manufacturer, table wasn't level, wholes filled incorrectly, no pads under the legs to stop movement of the table, pockets weren't bolted in place, list goes on and on. Mikes response was to banter back and forth, blame me, the other repair company and he refused to call me. I offered a solution of either refunding me the money or having a 3rd party come and remove the felt with him present to inspect the slate, said if I and the other pool table company who has over 30 years experience and a tremendous reputation was wrong, I'd keep the table, eat the charges I had to pay to fix the table and have the 3rd party present. Mike refused. Upon researching found that Mike has a history of doing this. Be very cautious - I wish I had done some more research and never done business with Mike and his company. My faith was restored by A's - I only wish I had bought a table from them.
Great Pool Table Moving & Storage's reply
Pool table was installed with a 3 man team and put in proper. After install Owner moved pool table and cracked slates period! We said we would return free to look at table Mathew did not work with us on that. Mathew after moving table twisting frame, must have cracked slates and other damage called someone else so we could not see damage done from move. Then was mad we did not give him all his money back. Pool table moving has to be done right and taken apart not picked up with friends and moved around the room. A sad case here we waited hours on install date for him he was very late no thank you. Now after damaging his own table he claims it all are fault. Will not work here. Have done 10,000 tables for dealers all over the U.S. and this is a common problem among mostly carpet and floor techs who move tables and break slates and pop screw holes. Some home owners but not many. Most home owners do not move there own pool tables on there own. Next time Mathew make it simple and call us to move the table first not after you break it then blame someone else. We have so many happy installs sad to see this. Happy to still work things out but this is really sad. Mathew please don't move table without a pro same thing will happen ..

Mike and Preston moved my father's pool table to my house and they were extremely courteous and professional and even a little early for the pick up. And while they were not slow at all, they did everything carefully and meticulously. They did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them to do any job.

I was moving in November 2014 . I called I called Great Pool Table and Storage to remove and purchase my pool table ,chairs ,Rack . They removed the table and told me it would not take long to sell because it was such a nice table and I would get at lease a $1,000 from him when it was sold. Since then I have called several time and received $ 250.00 so far since after he said the table was sold . We are now in January of 2016 and several calls later and each and every time he states he will send the balance out and has not. I would NOT recommend doing business with this company.
Great Pool Table Moving & Storage's reply
Your off site review is not correct. We rushed to get table out for your home closing. You table and chairs set had a mold infestation problem as stated to you. We could have got you more than 250.00 but after mold removal, new pockets, new rubber, new felt and hours of cleaning mold the 250.00 was the only amount left to give. Truth is we get paid to threw those tables out most the time. We felt bad for you and went the extra mile to give you a return on your pool table. Mold is a very big problem now and we take it very seriously. We will not install mold tables in other people's home so you can make more money. Mold spores can spread all wood has to be treated and all soft times thrown out . Sorry you don't understand but it is the future person who gets your table that we want happy and have good fun. Thanks
