I have had the pleasure of doing Bootcamp, Hiking, Running 101, and Yoga Slim with Active Wellness. Dayna is such an amazing soul. After only a few phone calls she created the most inviting yoga and meditation session for my friends and I (on the day of my wedding). She was flexible, helpfully instructional and has the most wonderful soothing voice. She brought a wonderful sense of calm to our stressful day. I would highly recommend her as I can’t believe how much we learned (about yoga and ourselves) in just one hour. So many thanks to you Dayna. Namaste

Ann is both an outstanding teacher and Reiki therapy provider. One of Ann's gifts is clearly articulating what Reiki is about, and what one can expect in the course of treatment. In my experience, Ann provided "hands on" Reiki, which is energetic work. I also received treatment which was "sent" to me. This also manifested as energetic work in my body. The outcomes for me varied in time frames, however, I experienced positive results and pain relief from each treatment. Thank you, Ann, for demonstrating such compassion and giftedness. Highly recommended! Rachel is a very intuitive and attentive yoga instructor. She pays great attention to the detail in every pose for everyone participating so that each person is comfortable and their posture is suited for their own individual level. She is more than willing to take extra time with you if you need it. Her vocal instruction is clear and detailed, as well so that you understand each position even at the novice level. I haven't yet had acupuncture from her, but I hear similarly amazing things, so I'm looking forward to that experience!

Danielle taught a private yoga session for a group weekend of 10 people. The yoga was awesome - the right balance of strengthening and relaxing. And Danielle was exceptionally easy to deal with - professional, courteous, friendly and cool. High recommend!

She is my favorite yoga instructor I have ever practiced with in my life! She is calm, kind, gentle, knowledgeable, patient and generous. She has a unique way of scaffolding difficulty and offering options for all levels as you personally progress. I look forward to every class with her, and just hope to be able to find space in the room for my mat!

I never did Yoga and at 69 I thought it was crazy to start but my daughter insisted we go together just a couple of times... so I did and I now I even go without her. All the teachers are kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. I go to the Gentle Yoga class where I try to master the basic poses with the guidance, and encouragement from the teacher and always feel great at the end of each session. It is both a calming and invigorating experience. Another good thing about this studio is that they have several levels and day and evening hours so I always find a class for me. I can't imagine anyone at any level not benefiting from a class at the Brewster Serene Scene Yoga, give it a try

I have taken many of her hot vinyassa power classes every class is an amazing experience. Jessica offers modifications and offers adjustments throughout the class Jessica is always willing to help all Yogi's in and out of her class with any questions or concerns they may have.

    A bit too soon to give a full star rating. I have enjoyed each session I've attended. As with many others, I've been meaning to get back into shape for awhile now. I kept making excuses why I couldn't. Really, I wasn't ready to get back into the gym. Being warn out from cardio to calluses from holding on to equipment wasn't making it appealing by any means. I've attended 6 sessions (small group) of yoga in the past two weeks and I can feel every muscle in my body. It's not what I expected because yoga is more of what I consider to be a gentle workout compared to the rigorous workouts I used to do with a personal trainer years ago. I expect to get stronger & maintain my/gain more flexibility. I firmly believe I will be accomplishing just that.

    So far, Catherine and I have only met one time. As it was our first meeting and we were both rather chatty, we ran over the time allotted, but I never felt that she was pushed to leave early. She was focused and dedicated to providing me general information on what we would work on as we move forward. We also spent some time on yoga so she could check out how my body was working in order to get and idea on what we would work on as we continue this journey. I am looking forward to our next meeting.

    Krista has amazing energy. She has such A beautiful, kind heart. Just being around her makes you feel happy. Her energy work has helped me to feel love for myself and to treat others around me with kindness and respect. Her greatest gift to me is helping to open up my heart chakra. I completely trust Krista because she is non-judgementAl and loving. I have had the honor to be in a 200 hour training for power yoga with Krista. She not only is an amazing energy healer but is so open to learn and to teach. I feel so blessed to have met her and to have her in my life. I know that I can count on Krista when I am in need of spiritual guidance.

    If you had told me six months ago that not only would I be hitting the studio four to five times a week, but it would be a highlight of my day, I would’ve told you you were nuts. But that was before a friend recommended Total Body Pilates and Yoga (TBPY). Coach Nicole makes fitness a fun, turnkey operation. You don’t have to purchase, maintain, or store fitness equipment, nor you have to figure out what workout to do -- you just show up to a clean, nurturing environment and do the work. It’s different, varied, and short enough that it doesn’t feel repetitive and boring, and intense enough that you’ll see steady gains in functional fitness. I’m significantly more flexible, energetic, better toned, and twenty pounds lighter after just four months. Furthermore, not only am I stronger, but I’m better able to use that strength. At each session, I find I work harder and care more about doing well physically. It’s not so much that Coach pushes you so much as she believes in you so much you can’t help but start believing in yourself. At the same time, safety is paramount: One of the first questions Coach asks at the beginning of every session is the common greeting “How are you?” What’s uncommon is that she really wants to know, really listens, and remembers; throughout the session she’ll offer modifications to ensure you progress without over stressing any body parts which are less than 100% on a given day. It’s not enough to work to achieve results; one has to work effectively and that happens at TBPY: Coach Nicole and Coach Danielle monitor your workouts for both safety and efficacy and provide the minor corrections to turn a good workout into a great one. Beyond the physical, they track the mental and have the knack for knowing just when you need a bit of a verbal push to fight through fatigue and stay strong. What TBPY Pilates is to the body, Yogini Lainey’s gentle yoga classes are to the mind. Combining self awareness and movement, her classes relieve both mental and physical stress. Yogini Katie’s power yoga classes combine mental focus, flexibility and an upbeat pace to provide a mix of mental clarity, flexibility, and cardio growth. Instruction is clear and easy to follow, and they carefully monitor and adjust and improve positioning when you don’t quite get it the first time.

    Evelyn started teaching my class, and I have to say my outlook on Yoga, and myself as a yoga student, changed dramatically. Even though I'm kind of a "back-row" sort of student she never fails to find a way to reach out to me in a supportive and practical way that really "cuts through it". She always says that it's really not about being flexible or strong, but about finding yourself. But I'm getting so much stronger and I feel great!

        I have taken both group classes and private yoga sessions with Joe, both of which have never been short of excellent. He brings inspiration, wit, and the promotion of physical and mental strength to each of his sessions, whether private or in a room full of people. His sequencing is unique and challenging, and he has the ability to simultaneously make class accessible to every individual, bringing them to their edge (with motivating music to match). High-fitness yoga instructing of this caliber is rare--I always leave Joe's class sweating and wrung out, but feeling 10x better than when I walked in the room. Highly recommended.

        Emily’s classes are awesome. Her calming voice and inspirational anecdotes throughout her class are truly unmatchable. Her musical selections really get your mindset going for a great workout. I love how her classes target every muscle group for strength as well as flexibility. Emily corrects your form and alignment throughout the class, which really helps you improve with each session. I am especially awed by the precision in her hip opening yoga poses. Emily is a fabulous yoga instructor. I highly recommend her classes.
