I found Dave over the Internet and my choice was based on the outstanding reviews customers left on Thumbtack. Despite the fact that Dave was far from me, I decided to fry and I was not disappointed! Excellent professionalism and customer service! The price for the work he did, was a half price of what I could find in downtown New Haven. Dave repaired my laptop and it's now good-as-new. He explained everything to me so that I could understand the problem and kept me up-to-date as he worked. The power button on my laptop was not operational. It was a design problem and not uncommon among other users of this particular computer. What was challenging was that is was not as simple as a switch replacement but a very small piece of plastic that was broken beneath the buttom. With David's ingenuity and persistence "Problem Resolved". David's quote for the repair was more than fair and his turnaround time was great. Being in business so long, I know what competitive prices are, and I am not the cheapest you might see, but for the years of experience I bring to the table, I am a good buy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Computer work is very specific, so I try to find out as much about the problem before quoting a final price thus reducing the final cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I possess A+ and Server + certifications, an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and have 34 years repairing computers.
