Introduction: I have a very unique perspective on photography. I believe that photographs shouldn't be taken in a cookie cutter style, where the picture could have been taken by just about any photographer with a decent camera--I believe that each and every photograph should have its own individual feel to it. They should be pieces of art in addition to being something you would love to have in your family photo album or modeling portfolio. I am also a professional, but one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I am extremely easy to get along with, which is something I find to be extremely important in my line of work. Being able to be friends with your photographer allows the photographer to capture much better pictures than someone in a studio at a department store would. You can get photographs that capture the subject's personality rather than just a carbon copy of what they LOOK like. I love being able to work with people in an artistic environment. Even in product photography, there is going to be at least a little bit of human contact, and that connection is what I enjoy most about what I do; being able to take a photograph and have the client tell me that it's amazing, that it captured a personality or product perfectly, and that it's something that they will look back at for the rest of their lives is something that makes me extremely happy to hear.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography is my passion. I love art in every form, but photography has always interested me the most, ever since I was a little kid. I'm also a big people person, and photography is just one outlet for getting to meet all different types of people. I tried to think of more "sensible" career choices, such as engineering (I'm good at math) or architecture (which ties in a bit more art in addition to math), but I found them all to be too boring, and realized that photography is what I have always loved to do, so why not make a career out of it?
What types of customers have you worked with?
Relatively low-key weddings. Some in churches, and some outdoors, but most where the couple is laid-back and fun.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking to hire a photographer, first and foremost, ask them what kind of equipment they have and what picture size they shoot in. If they don't have a flash separate from the one built into their camera, don't hire them. The pictures taken with the built-in flash will look washed out and harsh. Also ask them how many megapixels their camera has. Mine is 10 megapixels, which is fine for shooting in most situations. If their camera has around 8 or fewer megapixels, the photographs might not be the best quality, especially blown up. Finally, make sure you sign a contract with them guaranteeing that you will get the photographs in a certain amount of time and also stating that you can be refunded if the photographs are not of the quality that was promised to you (for example, if the photographer told you the photographs would all be at least 1880 by 2816 pixels, and the photographs they gave you were all 600 by 800, if you don't have a contract, there's not much you can do about that broken promise).
