FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Of course! There are many workshops that I continue to make room to attend and learn more about different styles, philosophies, and important knowledge about yoga. One can never stop learning.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become an RYT certified instructor after a very bad car accident after graduating from Berklee College of Music. Teaching yoga had always been a desire of mine, but it took this accident to bring me even closer to my yoga practice. Doctors wanted to put me on every medication possible to ease the pain, but I found that yoga was the best thing that I could do for myself, to heal as much as I could. I am so happy I embarked on the journey of becoming a yoga instructor through an 8 month long training program with highly skilled and knowledgeable teachers. I am happy to say that my passion combines the meditative and calming benefits of music combined with the beautiful art form of movement, that is yoga.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I generally have two different clients: One who is looking for a faster paced class and wants to challenge their body and mind, while the second wants to go deeper in the realm of meditation and a more gentle form of yoga to unwind and relax. During a private session, whether I am teaching this faster paced vinyasa yoga style, a well-rounded potpourri of fast and slow, or a gentle form of yoga, I am paying attention to my clients alignment and comfort while giving assists to deepen their poses if they like.
