I had the honor of attending an Open House put on by Jonathan and New England Flare. It is absolutely phenomenal the expertise, passion, and caring that went into each and every dish. The spread of food at the open house was jaw dropping. Each of the numerous dishes and platters almost looked too good to eat, but, they tasted even better! Having seen numerous events that New England Flare has put together,The food always leaves people speechless, not just because of it's phenomenal flavors, but the amazing presentation! When you choose to work with New England Flare, you can rest assured that Jon and his crew will go above and beyond, you and your guests will be talking about the wonderful food and the culinary experience for years to come. You can tell by the wonderful tastes and flavors that New England Flare uses nothing but the absolute best to serve guests and clients! The French Onion Soup is one of my favorites! If you are looking for a High standard, high quality caterer, look no further!

I attended an open house Mr. Miller hosted. I was blown away by the food that I samples. There was such a diversity of flavors and textures, elegantly presented. This held true for every appetizer, main course and the amazing desert. I would definately recommend Mr. Millers culinary creations for any event or venu.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    At 16 years of age, Miller became the youngest person to be named Connecticut's Best Apple Pie and also won the Connecticut State Baking Competition by the Association of Connecticut Fairs. After winning the title of Connecticut's Best Apple Pie, Miller received a full-scholarship to train under a 2-time chef of the year at an American Culinary Federation certified internship program. The program functioned at a former 13-story hotel and banquet center overlooking the city skyline of Indianapolis. During the internship, Miller was required to assume the role of Sous Chef (floor manager) as apart of the culinary scholarship. After the culinary internship program, Jonathan received dual Associates degrees from Naugatuck Valley Community College award winning program in Foodservice Management & Hotel Management. He also received dual certifications in Culinary Arts & Dietary Supervision. Jonathan was awarded the Faculty Award & a scholarship for Excellence in the Hospitality Industry and also received a certification by the American Hotel & Lodging Association. During Miller's degree & internship program, he continued working in the foodservice industry as a private chef and freelance caterer for various functions and foreign delegations - including an international conference in Nashville, TN for more than 1,200 people. Miller obtained his Food Manager's License and Alcohol ServSafe training by the National Restaurant Association.
