Gary is FABULOUS! He is patient and kind, and really quite funny! Best of all, Gary can cultivate a child's natural talent for music. One of the many awesome skills Gary has is the ability to group children together to form bands. He puts bands together where the children bring out each other's musical strengths. These kids have ended up forming friendships and bonds that are long lasting. Even a shy child feels comfortable performing, after Gary's encouragement and tutelage. My oldest child, now in college, attributes his love for music to Gary. We cannot say enough positive things about Gary and encourage everyone to bring their children to Gary for music lessons.

Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.

Had my first ever drum lesson with Ryan. I was impressed by his mastery of the craft, and the ease with which he communicates the most rudimentary drumming techniques. It is a wonderful balance and made me want to become a better drummer and better person in general!

Chris can teach both drums (drum kit) and various percussion instruments (tympani, tuned percussion, etc.). I am taking lessons from Chris mainly to learn basic rock drumming on a standard drum kit. He is a wonderful teacher. He'll give you valuable lessons not only on playing the drum kit, but also on good drumming fundamentals, such as proper stick grip, how to position your hands on the stick, and stick control, speed and independence. He will also instruct you in good habits and tips for practicing the drums between lessons. I very highly recommend Chris as a drum and percussion teacher.

My girl friend got me drum lessons for Xmas. She went on line and decided to go with Nick. I'm glad she did..I've only had 2 lessons so far and have enjoyed going to them..Nick has a lot of patience which is good for teaching .He also doesn't push you and let's you go at your speed which is nice... I'm 56 and I always wanted to learn how to play the drums.. I've play a lot of sports and like being challenged. This is a new challenge for me and I'm enjoying Nick, teaching me and looking forward to more lesson.., I would highly recommend Nick, for lessons..

Kyle is a pro. There’s just no other way to say it. Because he knows so much about so many instruments, and knows production so well, he has a well-rounded approach to his style that translates to his students. He is patient, warm, and responsive, and has an arsenal of tools for everyone’s level. Highly recommended.

I love working with Rowen....so much that I came back. I took lessons with her for about 6 years and than took a 3 1/2 year break & came back. I couldn't be happier...I learn so much from her!! She has wonderful advice about life in general, very talented, and so kind. She is one of the sweetest & most patient women you will ever meet. She takes her time in the lesson, and devotes the time to her student. She is willing to go over a piece that you are working on as many times as you need to. She has patience. She has a beautiful voice. She is very helpful and makes reading music seem easy! She is very organized with her teaching, it may seem like baby steps but it is all worth it. You have to start with the basics no matter what instrument you play! Rowen is great, I use to play in her recitals she held once every year. Those were wonderful, she really knows how to make her students feel like a star. Worth every penny!!!!

      About

The Al Miller Drum School has been in existence for over 5 decades. It is an easy program to follow and has provided it's students with the tools needed to understand rhythm and technique. The system is based on Al's proven instructional method begun in 1951. Many of today's most well-known drummers have studied the Miller drum system, including Billy Cobham, Greg Bissenette and Rod Morgenstein, to name just a few. Even the great Buddy Rich recognized the value of his system and asked my father to teach him to read music. Since my father's passing in 2000, I've been expanding his method and personalizing it for the modern drummer.
