Waking up at 6am is difficult and being energized is even more challenging. But Peter is able to keep me focused, engaged and enthusiastic with my 6am workouts and I leave feeling great and ready to tackle the day. He has listened to my workout goals and developed a personalized workout plan for me. I feel like I am working out more effectively than ever before and I can't wait to see the results (I am only a week in). I was impressed the first session when he said that it was a better use of his and my time if I did my cardio warm-up before he arrived so that I wasn't paying him to watch me run on a treadmill - I feel like that showed he respected that I was paying for training and he wanted to make sure I got my money's worth. Peter has also given me great advice about nutrition and workouts outside of my training sessions with him. In my time with Tim, which is about a year now, I've seen extreme changes in me both physically, mentally and emotionally. I sleep better, feel better and lift stronger and harder than before. I have worked out at many different gyms and bootcamps always looking to achieve the same goal to Lose fat build lean muscle. It wasn't until I met Devon that I actually began to make real progress to my goal. She is truly great at what she does. She checks in with multiple times a week to make sure I am on track with my nutrition goals in addition to my training with her. Every time we train its something new, which I really enjoy beacuse it never gets boring. She incorporates parts of boxing, cardio, weight training and conditioning to every session. I am going to be walking down the aisle Aug 30th for my big day, and my major focus area has been my upper body and arms. I have toned and lost inches in my arms/chest in just 2 months. But two years ago when I started taking classes with Stacey, yoga became more than exercise, it changed my soul as well as my body. Stacey has taught me so much about yoga and how it works with your mind and body. Stacey is truly gifted and an amazing teacher! I have also had Stacey perform Reiki on me after I was in a car accident - it had truly helped me heal faster and the sessions are so relaxing!! She performs Reiki on my children also and they love it! Stacey is a remarkable and experienced yoga teacher that will show you a whole new world!
Before meeting and training with AMCore Fitness; I was completely stuck and was beginning to feel discouraged. My body wasn't where I wanted it to be even though I dropped weight. I didn't have the definition, or strength I was aiming for. I was barely eating and restricting calories on top of doing long amounts of cardio. When Andy started working with me, one of the first things he did was increase the amount of food I was going to be eating and had me stop doing so much cardio; I was basically doing none. I was confused but trusted him and the process and I'm beyond happy I did. Today I stand here 70lbs lighter but with so much more energy and strength, I eat more, train hard and I love the way my body is coming together. I met Michael when I became a member at Title Boxing in Milford. After taking a few of his kickboxing classes and hearing that he was one of the top 3 trainers at the gym I decided to try private training with him to gain muscle and lose fat. Before starting our sessions, he shared his personal weight loss journey and showed me a few "before" and "after" pictures. i was beyond impressed at his dedication to going to the gym every day for hours and how quickly he was able to drop 100 pounds and even more amazed that he didn't hire help but instead chose to learn about eating clean and taking care of the body on his own. After our first rigorous but fun session (although excited I was SO NOT READY for all the cardio and exercises with new equipment I had never used before...felt like death) I felt rejuvenated and ready to take on more! Over the next few months I continued with sessions twice a week until my training package expired with the club. To continue taking private sessions at a cheaper rate, I decided to end my membership seeing as it was no longer needed since I can still do boxing with michael outside Title. Beyond happy with my progress so far and will probably continue to train with Michael for another year or so until I get the hang of it on my own.
I train with Anthony twice a week in prep for the marathon and he is excellent. He provides a great workout that is creative and combines cardio and strength training. His rates are very reasonable and he gives 110%. He takes you from whatever fitness level you are starting and teaches technique and pushes you to the next level. I couldn't give a higher recommendation.
I needed help with my diet.....and that was that! I go the gym 4-5 days a week for the past 4 years and I couldn't lose my belly. I tried more cardio, less cardio, more weights, less weights, I cut carbs, tried shakes and counted every calorie I ate (and drank) and I always ended up right back where I started. until I met Tyrese from Better Personal Training/Nutrition (at the counter of my local breakfast diner of all places). That's when I laughed! "Ok, let me hear it! He told me the basics and I agreed, I'd give it a shot (what the heck, I tried everything else). We exchanged numbers and agreed on a time to speak. That was April 3rd. I was 6'3 285lbs and 39years old at the time. 3 months later I'm still 39, still 6'3 but now I'm 250lbs and I feel great. I'm no longer sluggish, I've got more energy and way more strength. I'm eating the foods I love and I'm never hungry. I happily married and my wife is ecstatic with my new look but another great benefit is that I recently started getting that "second look" that I used to get when I was a younger man. Great for self esteem. I love my wife and would never go outside of our relationship but I must say, it's nice to get invited to the party (so-to-speak) even tho I'd never go to the party. You don’t have to purchase, maintain, or store fitness equipment, nor you have to figure out what workout to do -- you just show up to a clean, nurturing environment and do the work. It’s different, varied, and short enough that it doesn’t feel repetitive and boring, and intense enough that you’ll see steady gains in functional fitness. I’m significantly more flexible, energetic, better toned, and twenty pounds lighter after just four months. Furthermore, not only am I stronger, but I’m better able to use that strength. At each session, I find I work harder and care more about doing well physically. It’s not so much that Coach pushes you so much as she believes in you so much you can’t help but start believing in yourself. Push Fitness of Westchester is a great facility. The push classes are phenomenal and they always keep you guessing. I was never into weight lifting but the classes give you a little bit of everything, weight lifting, to cardio and even small circuits. Also, the people at this facility are great and the staff really treat you like family.
This is a great school I have trained for years mostly in a commercial setting like cardio Kickboxing and franchise Martial Art Schools and I hold several Black Belts. After taking a few weeks of classes that are offered as a free trial I quickly realized I had a lot more to learn. The owner of the school teaches the majority of the classes which is very rare for someone of his caliber. My son is also taking classes and although I was apprehensive at first because the instructor was only 17 years old I was happy to hear that he was home grown coming up the ranks since he was 7 years old. Aside from being an accomplished gold medalist I found out that even at 17 years of age his skill is extraordinary the first time I sparred with him as he very politely swept the floor with me.
Personal training by Ty has been a challenge. I am undisciplined woman but Ty has motivated me to make a commitment to exercise regularly because I see the results of his twice-weekly sessions. (Which has been hell) Ty makes every exercise count toward my goal of enhanced fitness, strength, flexibility and balance. The cardio and strength training exercises are varied with special attention to correct form. A whole lot of sweat pushed to the max is rewarded with positive feedback and a toned body. Highest recommendation.
