"This was the best food!" EVERYONE Ellen catered to for our dinner last evening could not get over how delicious their meals were. There are not enough words of gratitude I can share with her or any of you who are considering to hire her for your event. Ellen is concise when reaching out with her menus, her menus are organized by cuisine (making it easy to discuss), her response time is excellent, there are no hidden last minute charges, she shows up at the agreed time, is able to work in a challenging kitchen (we are in an office with a no flame policy and she made do with sternos), her food presentation is attractive and appetizing, and she is an absolute gem to work with. I have been in the food and beverage industry for 20 years, worked with many many chefs and Ellen is the real deal. Our group was falling behind and dinner service was delayed by close to 45 minutes. She made sure the main courses were still hot and of the best integrity, which is difficult to do when serving poultry and fish. Everything was seasoned beautifully with a variety of flavors with each course. Truly, the whole experience was magical and I can't wait to work with her again. Thank you so much Ellen!

I hired Chris to prepare a 3 course meal plus passed apps and dessert for an intimate gathering in my home this past weekend. This was my first time hiring a chef for a personal event and it couldn't have gone better. Chris is professional, yet engaging and the food was fresh and delicious. The experience was further enhanced by the personalized service and wine pairing suggestions provided by Roman. Chris brought everything he needed with him and you could eat off the floor by the time he left. Chris and Roman also worked wonders my meager dinnerware and serving utensil options (note to self to fix that for future parties). As a special touch, Chris even whipped up some homemade mac and cheese for our younger guests. I will absolutely hire Chris and again and if you are smart - you will too.

Whether you are having a small get together for a few or a large gathering, be rest assured that your event will be amazing! Chef Michel is extremely professional, respectful, and friendly! He catered 2 events for our family and we were very pleased with both. The first was a party of nearly 100 people celebrating our son’s college graduation and daughter’s high school graduation. Our second event was a last minute post Thanksgiving weekend family get together for 12-15 people. Everything from the planning, to taste testing, and delivery was on point. Aside from the food being beyond mouth watering delicious, he coordinated with outside vendors to provide everything we needed to make the graduation event beautiful. He also provided on site chefs and wait staff, all of which were professional and attentive to details. They were flexible in their assigned roles and remained past the scheduled time to attend to our guests and clean up. Our home was left as clean as it was when they arrived! Chef Michel prides himself on delivering the best quality and freshest foods possible. Other than a few items that required pre-prep (like marinating / slow cooking...definitely try the roast pork and roast chicken) everything was prepared (cut, fried, cooked, assembled etc) on site. This truly makes a difference when you’re serving items like empanadas or tostones with avocado and shrimp (both highly recommended). Chef Michel is very creative. Whether you choose something from his printed menus, have other items in mind, or even have a special recipe that you want him to prepare...HE CAN DO IT! An important point to make about his catering style is that he is so proud of his creations that he wants everyone to be able to taste everything that he prepares. If you choose an appetizer and you have 100 people, you are not going to get 1 or 2 pieces per person or be charged by the piece, like most caterers. He will make sure you have more than enough for everyone. The same applies to your main course. We had leftovers for ourselves, even after our guests took food home. With all of this said, I truly feel that his prices are fair and reasonable! I could write more and would be more than happy to speak to anyone who has any questions, but I’ll end with...make sure you try his homemade ice creams (our favorites were coconut and pineapple), flan, and especially the sangria!

We cannot say enough good things about SGS catering, especially Chef Grant. We had about 80 guests and a limited budget. But he was very accommodating in working with us. Great communications all the way till the day of our event. We also had some guests bring in food as a partial potluck. The chefs were really helpful and quick in organizing everything. We also had a vegetarian guest who inquired about vegetarian options before dinner was served. When dinner was ready an hour later, the server found her in the crowd and served her a vegetarian plate (we had a buffet style). I also made a two tiered cake myself for the event as I like to bake. As I was getting ready to assemble a tiered cake for the first time, Chef Grant pulled out his great decoration skills and made my cake look beautiful! We cannot say enough thank you for all the great help! Last but not the least, the food was amazing! The guests were all talking about how much they liked it. We are very happy there was leftovers so we can keep enjoying the food for days. We would definitely go back to them again if we ever need catering for any other events. We had a wonderful time at our group cooking class at La Pulperia. Chef Carlos and his team were so gracious (accommodating of food allergies) and the food was delicious - empanadas, salmon tartar, guacamole and ricotta gnocchi (which we learned how to make). We enjoyed making one of their signature cocktails and sipped wine (and tequila). Thanks to Chef Carlos and everyone at La Pulperia for such a fun and unique time. Also, thanks so much to Tyler for setting everything up!

Melissa was great. We had an in-depth conversation up front about our dietary restrictions including a shellfish allergy, a gluten sensitivity, and a dairy sensitivity within our party. Overall, we were aiming for a vegan meal. She worked with us and gave us multiple suggestions on dinner options based on our likes and dislikes. She even came by the house to provide samples of her dishes before the event. The night of the event, she did a great job executing appetizers, dinner, and dessert. The food was delicious and she left our kitchen in better shape than she found. I highly recommend Melissa as your next personal chef!

We were hosting a 25th Wedding Anniversay for 50 guests. Gordon Was Easy To Work With And Very Flexible.(This was our second time using him and his staff) His Menu suggestions were too many for us to decide on our own (We actually had to host a conference call with the chef involved).
