FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will first have a brief conversation with the client to determine what reference, whether it be other samples, chip books for color reference, etc. to the first meeting. After that I will meet with the client, usually in the location of the work to be done, then will prepare a few samples so that when I begin the artwork or faux finish we are all on the same page as to what it will look like. I don't start work until this is done to avoid major changes once I begin.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Paier School of Art where I majored in Commercial Art and Illustration, and studied trompe l'oeil (painting to fool the eye) under Ken Davies.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Over 60% of my work is residential murals, ranging from small baths to large 2 story foyers. Over the past few years more of my work has been for businesses, from restaurants to a large mural at Connecticut College in New London where I painted a 10'x40' mural of a rowing team on the exterior wall of their Athletic Center.
