We miraculously hired DJ Nate Slate just 10 days before our wedding (after our previous DJ went awol) and it was the BEST decision. DJ Nate is not only a great human being but excels at DJing and MCing. He listens to what you want, makes great suggestions without overstepping and MC's the perfect amount where it's effective but does not feel like you're at a baseball game. He reads the room well and knows how to keep the dance floor alive. Sooo many of our guests still talk about how great the music was at our wedding.

DJ NATE SLATE!!! Had the party turned up the whole night! Don’t hesitate on having him at your next event, he will have you and your guests on the dance floor all night. I provided him my own playlist to set the vibe and he took it from there. He took the time to actually mix the music and transition *every* song. No harsh cuts! Truly the best DJ I’ve ever had at any event (not just my own) and will 100% have him at all my next events. Pro tip- ask him abt his photobooth package! My guests all somehow looked like models in these photos. Photos had that direct flash look that made the pics moody, festive and very aesthetic. Can’t wait to throw another party!!!!

I can’t give enough stars for DJ Nate Slate, he deserves 100 stars. We had the best time at our event and DJ Nate was absolutely incredible! We booked him for my Aunt’s 50th birthday party and he took her entire playlist and really ran with it, we had her perfect blend of songs and everyone kept saying “It feels like I’m in Julie’s head right now”! He was also super funny, and he included only radio edits at our request. DJ Nate Slate is a treasure, book him for your next event!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have different discounts to help lower costs for customers. Ask me about them! DJ services start as low as $400. I offer lighting at a minimum of $100 and "walking on clouds" fog for $250 and up.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work closely with all customers. I offer as many ideas as I can think of to make the event extra special. I request the customers to provide me with details regarding the event, special songs or specific genres and their color scheme or party theme so I can coordinate my digs as well!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended college for audio engineering. I was a professional musician (a 90s rapper). I taught music production with the City of New York for over 10 years.
