Introduction: I have been teaching for over 20 years exposing students at many musical genres including classical, pop, bluses and jazz. In addition to teaching, I also perform as a jazz soloist. I attended College of New Rochelle and Manhattan School of Music (continuing education) and am a member of the National Association of Music Teachers. I focus on reading, technique, music theory and ear training. I have extensive experience teaching children 3 years old to adults 99 years old - Naturally I try and make the lessons engaging but also relevant to your particular musical goals. I hold an annual recital every June in Stamford and encourage all students participate. My lessons are structure in increments of 30 minutes/45 minutes or 60 minutes. I offer both face-to-face lessons as well as remote (SKYPE/ZOOM) lessons.

Gabriella helped me figure out the right key to sing in for a solo performance I was doing. She was thorough and well prepared to accompany me through a variety of key choices and was patient when I wanted to go over it again and again. In the end we found the perfect key for me. I have also taken piano lessons from Gabriella. She is a great teacher and makes playing the piano so easy. I highly recommend her!

My now 8 yr. old son has been taking lessons with Gab for almost 3 years. She always confirms the morning of the lesson and comes straight to our house, which is super convenient. She is low-key and meets every kid where they are, with no pressure to practice or perform. With Gab, my son has progressed tremendously and most importantly, he loves playing! He has even requested songs for certain holidays or that he wants to be able to play. We love that he is able to read music, and we love listening to him play piano in our home.

My daugher took piano lessons from Gab Kallay before moving to Germany and really enjoyed taking lessons from her. Gab was very patient but also extremely thorough with the lessons. In Germany my daughter later joined the school band and continues to play.
