Jeff & his cousin Erick were extremely fast, courteous & professional. I requested to assemble Ikea Pax wadrobe one ,with 2 doors and another with a door with mirror!!! He just not assembled them in no time, but also took the single door Pax into my bedroom and fixed it in my request at no additional cost. He is very very reasonable and quotes very competitive price. I would definitely recommend him. They are not money hungry and knows their job well.
Manny was professional, courteous, and even showed up early. He install a large doggy door for us in a timely manner.
Ray, did an excellent job assembling furniture, hanging objects, and repairing a closet. He is prompt, courteous and has a background that can handle most of your handyman needs. We will definitely use Ray on future projects.
The tech helped me remove two window air conditioners that were installed incredibly thoroughly. It was a challenging project but he was really creative in figuring out how solve the issues. Plus, he was punctual and responsive. Thanks!!
Gary did an awesome job on assembling my Ikea slide-door wardrobe. He came in an hour after I sent my emergent post on the website. Very nice guy and doing his job very professionally. Definitely a go-to when coming to need some help with your furniture.
Ackthba did a great job patching up a dog-destroyed door and putting my walls back to right after I hung a bunch of stuff on them. He was easy to communicate with and did good work. I'd hire him again!
Austin was so helpful during my preparations for our move and then getting us set up in the new apartment. He removed televisions and remounted them, took down chandeliers, put furniture back together again. No job was too big or small for him. Will definitely use him again.
Affix towel bar to shower door. I was so pleased James was willing to come a distance to do this small job. I've had many handymen- never had one I would use again. I found out about Thumbtack from a plumber who answered the phone and it was smooth sailing from web site to job well done.
I needed a couple of guys to help me move a couch that had been delivered curbside to my apartment building. I wasn't sure when it would arrive, so once it showed up I texted Bertie and he and his partner Reggie were at my door within 10 minutes. Both men were super friendly and immediately got to work. They didn't waste a second in figuring out the best way to get the couch in - they even removed my door and put it back on perfectly in order to get the couch into my place. Not a single scratched wall, floorboard or mark on the couch. I was blown away with their professionalism and quality! 100% would hire Bertie again for any kind of move.
I needed repair to fix my door frame. My door frame was quite damaged. As soon as I filled out the Thumbtack repair request form, Walter contacted me. It was a Sunday, that didn't deter Walter to come out not only to assess the damage, he repaired it that same day. he also gave us a great price which was tremendously lower than the other prices I was quoted. Walter is very kind and professional! I'm quite pleased with his excellent work! (See the before and after pics.) I would recommend Walter and his company to anyone!
He did a great job installing my dog door; arrived on time, made sure to understand exactly what I wanted and read installation instructions before jumping in, and an all around nice guy. Would hire again for any other jobs I have.
Jorge did a great job installing a faucet, mirror, and painting a door. He was punctual, courteous and professional. I plan on calling him again for future work. Thank you Jorge!
My partner and I just moved to NJ from NC and had quite a bit of repairs and upgrades we needed to complete on the new home we purchased. One such upgrade was venting the dryer. This home was built in 1892 so needless to say, the original architectural plan did not include a dryer. The previous owners installed a gas line - but where the gas line had to run to attach to the kitchen stove, made for a really poor location in the basement in regards to venting the dryer. Before Nick came, he let me know a price for a best case scenario, which I appreciated because had he named a price over my budget, it would have given us both the opportunity to cancel the estimate so as not to waste time. Nick arrived on-time for the estimate and at first it was pretty tricky to find a solution for venting the dryer without completely tearing up the ceiling and walls. Nick was persistent in finding though and was able to devise a plan of going through an old nonfunctional window that was hidden and covered. I hired him to complete the dryer venting and also uncap the gas line and install a hose in preparation for the dryer installation. On the day of the project, Nick arrived on time (7:30am on a Saturday) It took him about 2.5 hours to complete everything. He did a fantastic job. One strength I want to highlight is that Nick not only gets the job done, and does it well, but also takes pride in the aesthetics of his work. He could have easily vented the dryer in a way that exposed the pipe all the way along the ceiling and through the window, but instead he figured out a way to fish it under the sheet rock for a cleaner look. He also cleaned his work space completely - which I have found to be rare for contractors in this area. I have had many contractors who were ready to walk out the door without cleaning up their mess and would have done so had I not asked them to clean up before they go. I also want to highlight that I had a sewage pipe issue in the basement prior to his dryer venting project. Nick also does plumbing so I called him at 4pm and he was at my house by 8pm. People who who have hired folks for sewage pipe leaks know that cleaning up the sewage is not part of the job. Nick was willing to clean and sanitize on top of snaking the pipes and clearing them of clogs for a reasonable price. Nick has been great to work with and does great work. I have already hired him to take care of some other projects around the house (installing a shower door, clearing debris in the backyard). Glad we found a go-to handyman for our new home!
Bob was great. He offered great value, started the job right away and did excellent work with our basement window removal and installation. Space was cleaner than when he started. We are already talking about additional work to be completed. Thank you Bob. I will for sure recommend you to my friends and family.
Needed to figure out a way of getting a sofa downstairs when it wouldn't fit by standard methods. Choices were via an outside stairwell or to take it apart. Valdemir was great. He came over to my apartment to get a better understanding of the required work and decided the sofa could not be taken apart (after open up the bottom I completely agreed - he also stapled it back together for me so no damage done). We then looked at window / stairwell option and he was optimistic but I decided it was not worth it as the sofa was not of sufficient value to warrant such a complex task (involved window removal to say the least). Whilst this did not work out as I had hoped, I would highly recommend him and will use him if anything else comes up in the future.
Anthony just completed a job for me and I was super happy with his work. He removed the shower doors, repaired a broken closet rod and repaired a broken kitchen cabinet door. I am glad I ended up using his service. He was quick responsive, attentive, and he even biked himself to home depot to purchase additional items. I highly recommend him for all your handyman needs! I will def use him again in the future!
Complete bathroom renovation. Demolition, removal, new walls, all new fixtures and tub plumbing, custom built-in cabinetry, and porcelain tile floors. Glenn and partner measured meticulously and finished everything when they said they would without damaging stair and hallway. Couldn't have asked for more for this cramped upstairs renovation in our older home.
Needed door and door frame removed and replaced. Done on time, professionally and left looking like new.
Al came to the rescue with a price I could manage for junk removal from my yard (up a flight of steps) after my kitchen demo. He had to play a good game of Tetris to make all the stuff fit in his van, but he really filled it to the brim. He then helped me move any remaining bags and wood to the front of my house for easier removal for regular garbage night.
I requested to have my wall to wall carpeting removed and it was done to my satisfaction. I received a quick response from the company and was pleased with the price, the work, and the clean up. I would strongly recommend the company to my friends and relatives and would not hesitate to have them do work for me again.
Wass was very dedicated to fix my old wardrobe 's door, and the price was very reasonable.
