FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
One-hour lessons are standard and cost $75.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get as much information as my students and parents are comfortable giving before we meet. The more I know about where my students are beginning, the better prepared I can be at our first lesson. I'm easily accessible by phone or email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been singing professionally since I was 9 years old, singing jazz for senior citizens at convalescent homes. Various community theater productions gave me a solid foundation in accountability, sight-singing, ear training, choreography, and technique. Local competitions allowed me to expand from musical theater and jazz to R&B and soul, where I honed my range and technique. I went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC where I studied ballet, tap, jazz, acting, theater, and speech. I have a BA in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College, and a MALS in Writing from Wesleyan University. These two degrees serve me well in my philosophy as a holistic vocal coach.
