I needed someone to help me with pain in my neck and shoulders that I have had for years. I tried everything to rid the pain so upon talking with a friend of mine it was recommended that I go see Bonni at HeartnSoul Yoga and Wellness. Bonni is a yoga therapist that performs body work to relieve pain and align peoples body structure. I made an appointment and met with bonni whom is very professional and well qualified/trained in her field. We discussed the various pain issues I have had with my body, particularly my neck and shoulders. After Bonni worked on my neck and shoulder area I could not believe that the work she performed released something in my neck/shoulder area and I regained full range of motion in my neck and my shoulders were pain free after so many months of suffering daily with pain/stiffness. I don't know what she did or how she did it but it was the relief I was seeking for over a year. The whole experience was enjoyable and spiritual. Without hesitation, I highly recommend that anyone looking for an assessment of their body alignment and/or relieving stiffness/pain in specific body areas that they contact Bonni right away and enjoy the experience of gaining full range and use of your body.
Being new to yoga, I was looking for the right yoga instructor who could help me reach peaceful sustainability, teach me health maintenance, advanced meditation techniques as well as teach me the basic yoga exercises/movements. A wealth of knowledge and training along with the personal attention to my ability, past medical history and future goals is very important to me. I attended several classes at my local gym an was not at all impressed with the instructors, class size, atmosphere and lack of education on the yoga principals/history. I came across Brian on Thumbtack while looking into private instructors in my area. I was immediately impressed with his training in yoga, physical fitness and nutrition. His certifications surpassed all other trainers in the area. So I decided to give him a try. I have had several private and group sessions to date and will enthusiastically continue to practice with Brian. Upon arrival I notice that his studio was pristine and welcoming. His use of aromatherapy as well as herbal teas creates a wonderful scent and a feeling of calm. Brian provided me with a private session to get to know me as a person, my health history, my future goals and introduced me to him and the history and variations of yoga practice. This was a wonderful session and he has since tailored my on-going personal an group sessions based on the information he obtained. Brian's classes are small and personal. Brian: - speaks clearly and his instruction is well-timed with the music and movements -the music is played at a safe speed and is appropriate for the group and atmosphere -Brian exhibits strong movements and posture and demonstrates them properly to the group and offers alternatives for newcomers -all movements are safe and he offers adequate safety tips - motivation and interaction: Brian is incredibly motivated and makes eye contact with participants as well as assist with poses - has an energetic an peaceful environment - Brian's classes have all the expected components; including an adequate warm-up, cool-down and stretch. Meditation is a big part of the classes and personal sessions. I always start and end up feeling completely relaxed and at peace I highly recommend Brian to novice-advanced yoga students. I have taken yoga classes ever since Keri-Ann first started offering them. I have never been disappointed. I began a love affair with yoga since then but have never found a teacher to compare with her way of teaching or how to make her students love it as much as she does. She definitely knows what she is doing and in a way to benefit her students no matter what their physical limitations are.
I have attended many different yoga classes taught by many different instructors but Bre’s class was by the far the best class I’ve been to. She takes the time to personally instruct each person in her class based on their individual needs. She does an incredible job of making sure you are properly doing each pose while ensuring you are keeping up with your breathing. I would recommend Bre to any person at any level of yoga.
Meeting Kate has been one of the best things that has happened to me. Not only is she very experienced Iyenger yoga teacher, she is very warm and patient, too. With my medical condition, I have a lot of issues, but I feel very comfortable and well looked-after in her classes. 👍
