Introduction: One really special thing about my portrait work is the inclusion of holga and vintage camera photography. The holga is a "toy" medium format camera popular in fine art photography for the dreamy look it creates. They are difficult to use well but I've used them for years and can control their output and create quirky, odd, dreamy and utterly wonderful final images with them. I will be the first to admit this style of work - more art gallery than mall portrait studio - is not for everybody but for the famiy who loves art and wants something a little out of the norm it's a fabulous addition to children's photography.

Stacie took pictures of my family in our backyard. she has such a gift for working with small children! instead of doing some kind of complicated stagey posed shots, she just took pictures as we relaxed and played and ran around the yard - she really captured the individuality and unique inner beauty of both of my children. I could not have asked for better results. if you are looking for a photographer who can capture that youthful joie de vivre and magic of childhood, you will not be disappointed in Stacie Turner Photography.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Portrait photographers are a dime a dozen these days. When you select a portrait photographer for your family you have more choices than ever before and this gives you the immense luxury of being able to choose someone whose style fits your aesthetic. Before booking with a portrait photographer you should look over their web site and get a feel for the style of their work; does it speak to you, does it make your heart sing? Then make sure you understand their pricing; photography comes at all price points and you DO get what you pay for. If someone's too cheap there's probably a reason. On the other hand, you don't want to fall in love with your whole session and then realize you can only afford 2 prints. Find a budget and style that works for you!
