I highly recommend EBRR and team to everyone. The team was always professional and on time. Ed Bilo takes great pride in his company and it is obvious he enjoys his work. The team was always sure to make certain the finished product was exactly what we wanted. EBRR is a one-stop shop- they are skilled in so many areas of property maintenance. We had them do flooring, outdoor landscaping, post construction cleaning and concrete repair. Ed Bilo was happy to help with whatever type of work we needed done around the house and provide ideas and expertise. We will be inviting them back to do future projects in our home without hesitation.

I did not particularly like the fact that the workers assured me that the stains would come out of the grout and they did not.

Blue Ribbon arrived on time , did a fantastic job, and even looked out for me and my infant when planning out a multilevel cleaning. Professionalism beyond what you will see from a large company. Highly recommend them for carpet and tile cleaning.

My job consisted of the cleaning of a microsuede sectional, our family room carpet, the carpet runner on our stairs to the second floor, and the second floor landing. The company was responsive and provide quotes that were consistent with the final price. The prices are great and the job was completed efficiently. It was easy to schedule the service and they do provide a two hour window (the technician came at the end of the window). I'm taking away one star because they did not remove all of the stairs from my couch and carpets.

My family has used Yesenia for our cleaning needs for almost 10 years. She is a part of the family at this point. She is affordable, reliable, and does and all inclusive cleaning job. Most importantly, we trust her. We leave our valuables out and our (now older) kids alone with her working in the home. We have never worried about a thing with Yesenia. Highest recommendations for this great person and professional cleaner.

They did a great job fixing my sub floors! No complaints about the quality at all. The gentleman even broomed and vacuumed when he was done. He did have to saw the plywood to take it apart and out of the house. I asked if I should cover my furniture and couch with a sheet to avoid cleaning up sawdust and he said no it's ok. But unfortunately saw dust did get on all that so I did clean up when he left. Maybe he didn't understand my question not sure. But definitely worth the quality and super nice and pleasant people and I will definitely use them again in the future!

Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning did an amazing job cleaning my carpets! My carpets were heavily stained from my puppy having accidents and they made it look like nothing ever happened. They were on time, price was very reasonable, and did a great job! I will definitely be calling them again!

Bottom-line: Top notch quality work at very reasonable price. I had LM Painting paint a 5000 SF house, install backsplash at 4 locations, and seal all grout throughout the house. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Already gotten compliments on how nice the edges look. They covered every square inch of floor before starting. There was no cleanup required, they paid attention to detail while working, and surpassed expectations. Photos speak for themselves. Punctual, professional and pleasant. Highly recommended with no reservations. This will be my go-to contractor from now on.

Hugo and his helper wall mounted our new 55 inch tv. They installed a sound bar as well as an infrared sensor, which allows for hiding the cable box. They drilled holes into a cabinet we had purchased to hide the wires and equipment. A stereo receiver was also hooked up with 2 speakers installed in our kitchen ceiling and a volume control knob installed. All these improvements required cutting into drywall and patching, which were neatly done. Hugo also did the research for me about what equipment I needed to purchase, which was all online (no visits to Best Buy or other store of that ilk). The best thing, I have to say, is that Hugo came on short notice, in fact it was the day after Thanksgiving. The two men spent about 6-7 hours at my house and literally transformed it from 20th century technology to the 21st, all for $500. I think we got a great deal, and I hope to use Hugo for future projects. Finally, Hugo is very nice, pleasant, as well as extremely hard working and responsible. Thank you, Hugo!

I hired Deborah to do move-out cleaning for my condo. Note - I had 2 cats and my new tenant was allergic, so the cleaning had to be super meticulous to get all the cat fur out on top of scrubbing everything. Deborah was fast at responding to emails and scheduling. She was also very flexible and ended up coming in an hour earlier than previously scheduled. Cleaning was to take place on my actual move out day, so I was running like a chicken with no head. But after Deborah came in and we walked through the condo and reviewed everything, she got busy with cleaning and I was able to leave her all by herself for a few hours while moving all my stuff. She called me when she was done and I came in to review everything and I must say - as OCD as I am about cleaning myself, my condo has never ever been so clean in 10 years! No brushing dirt under rugs or any of that crap that you see in reviews for other cleaning services. She really cleaned everything to a shining spotless finish! And the new tenant test passed - I have not heard a word from my new cat-allergic tenant! She was ecstatic with the cleanliness of the condo when she moved in! I never write reviews, but I must say that with a multitude of cleaning services companies out there with 50-50 performance ratings, Deborah stands out by far for being a consistent absolute top notch cleaning services provider that you can rely on every single time! Simply Outstanding! I am keeping her number for years to come! Thank you, Deborah!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

  • Old standard or electric toothbrush
  • Stiff bristle brush
  • Spray bottle
  • White vinegar
  • Commercial grout cleaner

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.
