I hired Tim to help me move a 1 BR apartment. At first I was hesitant, since his quote mentioned "up to 3 people" - but he ended up showing up by himself. Apparently, the people he usually works with cancelled him last minute. However, this was no trouble for Tim, as he handled all my belongings with great care (wrapped them with quilts and shrink wrap), and had no trouble loading everything into the truck. As our time window to move was shrinking, Tim realized he needed another set of hands, so he went and hired someone to help him at his expense while respecting the lowered quote he had given me (since the other movers didn't show up). I really appreciated Tim's integrity and how careful he was with my stuff - I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again, as I know he'll do a great job, no matter the circumstances.

I have had two knitting lessons with Helene. She is a teacher and a coach - providing detailed instructions with a hefty dose of positive feedback and encouragement!! I will be making a sweater and can't wait to get started!

Wendy is a wonderful instructor. She also helps the child have confidence in his/her self. She offers encouraging support in addition to her tutoring skills. I have seen a child bloom from an underachiever to an above average student.

About

I have been knitting for many years and teaching for several. At present, I teach knitting and sewing in Arlington and would welcome new areas and people. I also teach culinary classes in Fairfax. I enjoy teaching and find it fun to have mother-daughter classes. I knit European, American, left hand and right with right being my dominant hand. At present, I knit for a designer, and my product is well received. My skills are very good, and I have the ability to work in a group setting.

She was able to do the impossible. Completing adjustments on a pageant dress in less than 24 hours was amazing! I look forward to working with her again.

She is great, hire with confidence. Can't wait to have her come back. We will be using all three skills, started with sewing. She will be teaching my daughter crochet, and my husband knitting. Very excited, and my sewing lessons are going great!

About

I can teach you to knit or crochet. I started Knit Together in Love at my church 8 years ago. We teach members (ages 4+) to knit & crochet, and create hats, scarves, and afghans for those in need. I can also do knitting and crocheting projects for my customers. I will create custom pieces for clients, or use a pattern from one of my many books. I learned to crochet in the 4th grade making flowers for a Girl Scout badge (30+ years ago). I learned to knit approximately 18 years ago.
