Sam is not only a teacher, he is your friend. I was a simple guitar player that wanted to sound good with my band, another dreamer. And Sam convinced me that we had a chance to get there, somewhere. All the skills that you can possibly imagine, experienced on the road and very respected musician, Sam, with only 5 month of class, gave us such a confidence. There is a lot to learn still, and now all the band will have lessons. We are so excited. Just do it as he says.
It has been a great learning experience for my two daughters. I dont think I could ever find a better piano teacher. Not only does Ms. Heather share her great talent with my kids, she is also very friendly and always cheerful and looking forward to teaching them. My daughters have improved dramatically since we started with her a few years ago. We also really enjoy the convenience of in home lessons! I highly recommend Lessons In Your Home for music lessons. My daughters now look forward to their piano practice daily. Great Falls, VA Resident
First off, Larry is one of the best teachers I have ever had. You can tell he cares about every fundamental building block necessary to become a well rounded musician. He's particular about certain techniques, and as I progress I continue to discover the brilliant method to his madness. I took saxophone lessons for 4+ years, and was in multiple bands, but I can honestly say Larry has liberated the way I understand music. Lessons with Larry are one of a kind. He writes the lesson book week by week, combining years of knowledge and experience into one book for your personal use. You learn everything you would have if you paid thousands of dollars for music education, plus the one on one lesson time. So nothing goes misunderstood, and you move at your perfect pace. I recommend Larry to anyone who truly wants to become a great musician. There are no shortcuts, and this is the real deal. Larry has mastered the art of teaching, and I honestly believe he will help me surpass the high expectations I have set for myself as a musician.
Ben is a phenomenal piano and voice teacher. He is very enthusiastic about music. His energy for teaching and music helped me tremendously. I have been taking piano lessons for a few years before I met Ben few summers ago. And I started loosing interest and only agreed to one or two more piano lessons with a new teacher that my moms friend recommended. But, when I started taking Bens piano lessons during the last couple of summers, he reenergized me for learning and playing on piano. His energetic personality is very addicting and it helped me to learn how to play the music I wanted to play and he also would introduce to me something new at most of the lessons, making the lessons very exciting. He learned my style of learning and adapted his method to it. I took a Voice lesson with Ben over Skype a few days ago, and I learned a lot and improved singing the song that I am planning to sing at an event at my school. This song happened to be the song Ben asked me to play with him on piano during the last lesson in August. I would strongly recommend Bens teaching to anyone who wants to play piano and sing well regardless of their age! And the last lesson proved that he can teach voice and singing over the Internet/Skype and perhaps piano as well. Thank you Ben for your encouragement and teaching me piano and vocal!! Claire (11 years old )
Joel is an incredible teacher! He helped me and 2 other friends (who also take classes with him around the same time) to put together a band that was playing live shows after 6 months of lessons. All of us were completely novice musicians. He even learned how to play a new instrument, the Andean charango, so he could teach one of our band members how to incorporate it into our playing. Joel's lessons are fun and disciplined. Exactly the combination you want for making progress and staying invested in learning how to play your instrument.
While I’ve only started my violin lessons Kirsten has been a wonderful teacher whom I know will be able to help me learn to play the violin.
Excellent teacher who teaches music very holistically: not just how to play the piano but ear-training, theory, improvising, music history, and more. My son has made huge gains in just two years. Highly recommend.
Chris was such a wonderful teacher. Not only was he friendly but also understanding and really met me where I was in my beginner skill set. I have absolutely no background in playing music but Chris was able to break it down for me in a way were not only did I absorb it but I was also excited to learn more and practice afterwards. He was extremely respectful, warm and understanding teacher. I recommend him and love his approach and energy. After the first lesson he gave me homework based on my specific needs. I can't say enough good things about him. If you're looking for an amazingly talented bass instructor Chris is the real deal.
Stephanie is a caring and informed instructor! Her knowledge of Music is vast- I’ve been so impressed. Will continue meeting with her for as long as I am able.
Mike is an amazing teacher! He is incredibly knowledgable and is willing to work with you where you are. I was around 34 when I started taking drumming lessons with Mike and didn't know much about reading music. It was my first time holding drum sticks and within the first two lessons I had a good understanding of how to read notes and apply what I've learned practically. Within the first couple of months I was doing well and could pretty much understand how to dissect a song, play along and keep up with the pace. My questions were always answered and he worked with me so well whenever I was stuck. Beyond teaching music, Mike very encouraging has an impressive ability to work through intellectual obstacles, equipping his clients with the tools they need to keep progressing and moving forward. I WISH I had starting working with Mike when I was a young kid, but he was probably not born yet...and two continents away. I wholeheartedly recommend this teacher!!!!!!! If you have an opportunity to work with Mike, take it!
Michael is the real deal -- an accomplished composer and musician who's interested in mentoring others to further their musical interests. His knowledge of music is deep without being dogmatic in his approach and his personability adds appeal to the lessons. Highly recommended.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Toni for several months. I love that Toni comes to my house to teach, so that I can stay home and work on other projects during her lessons. Toni is extremely reliable, prompt, and responsive. She is very kind and patient, my daughter loves having her come and looks forward to her lessons. She always leaves a clear practice plan, so that my daughter can practice on her own and knows exactly what to do. I highly recommend piano lessons with 10 Fingers Music!
Josh is awesome! I learned how to play ode to joy my first lesson with him. He's fun and can teach you awesome penatonic scales. He makes playing guitar worth the calluses.
Miss Leah has been my son's piano teacher for a year and a half and we cannot say enough good things about her. I recommend her to everyone I know. She is incredibly patient and encouraging with my very active son. He has learned so much and absolutely loves piano.

I'm friendly, patient and well-qualified with an English accent. Berklee qualified, 20 years teaching experience, internationally acclaimed performer and educator.
Piano education has a reputation for being a bit stuffy and disciplined. While I believe in hard work, I believe equally strongly in having fun, discovery, and creativity. My practice is strongly based on developing a creative approach to music, with a special focus on ear training and improvisation. No two students are alike; my goal is to tailor lessons to each individual's unique strengths and weaknesses.
Variety is what separates myself from other music teachers. For instance, on guitar, I teach students not only how to read, but to compose and improvise music in their favorite styles. Piano students are also free to choose their favorite styles on piano. While I do teach classical piano, I do not force my students to only learn classical music.
