I needed to improve my French language skill and posted an ad for a french tutor. I initially met with Allan for a one-hour session just to see if he might be a good tutor for me. I have decided to engage his service for a longer period as I was quite impressed with him especially with his level of patience. Within a short period of time, I grew comfortable and less self-conscious. Allan made me feel at ease. It was also wonderful that he was punctual but not at all conscious of the time when our session was ending.

I went to Stephanie Rhein for weekly six month sessions tutoring beginners level French as I was planning a vacation in France the summer of 2014 and wanted to be able to communicate some basic phrases, etc I had taken French in 7th and 8th grade only--she was very good at assessing where I was and was very organized and detailed in trying to meet my needs at each session- she has a lot of patience and is clearly fluent and very knowledgeable of the French and other languages. She keeps improving her own skills each summer. I would highly recommend her and would have her as a tutor again if the need arises. Some of my early comprehension came back to me which was helpful--I was able to feel comfortable enough in France to ask questions, understand some French people and helped a lot with directions and in restaurants. It is helpful if you know what your needs are from the beginning as that would assist Stephanie in preparing lessons. She was also flexible if in one session I felt I wanted to put more emphasis on verb tenses we could postpone something else she may have intended to introduce when I felt I needed more time with certain verbs, etc. Hope you try Stephanie Rhein. Beza tutored me in introductory French as I was interested in picking up basic communication skills in the language. Beza is fluent in written and spoken French having gone through a French school system all his life. He assessed what I wanted to get out of the sessions and came well prepared for the lessons. It was a pleasure to be tutored by Beza. Thanks!

    About

I'm currently in a 200-level college French class, and I've been speaking and learning French for 8 years now. I am still learning, but I can give you lessons and give you a great basis for communicating in a beautiful foreign language.

    About

To me, French is the most beautiful language in the world, complimented by a rich, sophisticated culture: the culinary delights, the art, the enchanting Parisian cafe lifestyle. Embrace the many possibilities of exploring French. Learn beginner, intermediate and advanced French conversation, grammar and more. Take the internet tours of the Louvre, Lyon and Limoges. See the historic architecture of Notre Dame, Versailles and the scenery of Paris along the River Seine. With a Masters in Teaching French, from the College of Notre Dame de Namur and a BA in French from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, I have been a French tutor for over 20 years for a variety of students and for the famous global language learning and cultural training corporation, Berlitz. In addition to tutoring a range of clients in my studio, I am the French tutor for Annapolis Area Christian High School. I have taught students of all ages, from 2 to 83. Some are interested in conversational French to prepare them for a trip to Paris. I provide them the essential language tools while traveling in France, from ordering a cafe at a Parisian bistro, asking for directions to a musee, purchasing tickets for an evening soiree and more. The tutoring I provide is always centered on the student's current needs. In general, my tutoring for my middle school students is focused on conversation while my high school level tutoring lessons are focused on grammar and the beginner, intermediate and advanced curriculum suggested by the Middlebury College Online for language. For younger students, I teach interactive arts, crafts and cooking to build vocabulary. The elements of early language learning are always vital to success in any career. I hope you are ready for a positive experience with the French language, arts and culture. It will be a pleasure to meet you. - Enchante
