Welcome to Real Property Management of DC Metro. With more than 200 nationwide locations, we manage and maintain local, residential properties.

Our mission is to minimize expense and leg work for busy home and property owners. By seeing to the tasks of vacancy filling, tenant screening, rent payment, business licensing, repairs and evictions, we take a large portion of rental property management onto ourselves. This frees up our clients to seek out new properties, operate their business and live their own lives.

Unlike many property management companies, we are more than well acquainted with the neighbourhoods in which we work. Because all of our locations are independently owned and operated, we are able to customize our service to local and regional needs. Our property managers are committed to doing the best job possible for the towns they call home.

Essentially, we are your support system. Managing one property at a time is a big job, and we're here to help anyone juggling that and more with expert rental property management.

Residential property management doesn't just mean houses. If you also own multi-unit rental properties, talk to Real Property Management about apartment management. DC apartments are in high demand, and we help you keep everything organized, up to code and ready for occupation.

So far I am really pleased with the respond time to my phones. They are professional and polite.

Hello, almost a month ago I decided not to rent after paying all necessary funds via cashiers check. I did not receive keys nor set a move in date. Why is my refund taking almost a month to be refunded to me ?

BJ M. from Real Property Management DC Metro replied to this review on February 20, 2015:

Hey Clearly, Did you get this figured out? I search your name and did not find it in our accounting system. Please let us know what we can do to help you make sure this it taken care of.

Question and answer

Q. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A. When we first talk, we would get the property address, so we can determine if its an property and an area we manage in. Next we would set up an appointment to do a quick walk through, so we can determine the rental value of your property. We will discuss our fees for Property Management and Leasing Fees.

Q. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

A. We have been in business in DC for almost 7 years. I own rentals myself, so I know what it's like to be a landlord. We've managed 100's of homes in DC and know we can help you. We are also Licensed Property Managers in DC and hold the PRM accreditation (Professional Residential Manager).

Q. Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.

A. We typically charge 8%-10% of collected rent. This is determined by the type of property and how many properties you own.
Our Leasing fee is 65% - 100% of the first month rent.
We get paid when you get paid.

Q. How did you get started doing this type of work?

A. I've been in Real Estate for over 15 years. First it was buying my own rentals, and then selling homes and managing rentals for other investors.

Q. What types of customers have you worked with?

A. We work with investors, landlords, owners that can't sell with 1 unit all the way up to small apartment complexes. Nothing is too small or too large.

Q. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A. Find a company that focuses on Property Management. Too many time we take over management for a landlord, who hired a Realtor and a friend, and they are in a mess. This is all we do. We don't Sale, we Manage Rental Properties.
