Tona is an amazingly compassionate and dedicated instructor. She provides voice, violin, and piano lessons to my 3 children; with great flexibility to their varying interests and moods. They are developing a wonderful appreciation for music and the capacity to make their own. Tona is very talented, open, and dedicated to her profession. I would recommend her without reservation.

It was my enormous privilege to study violin with William Herzog for two years at Northwestern University. His deep understanding of the technical, psychological, and emotional aspects of violin-playing--and his ability to communicate this knowledge clearly and empathetically--is unparalleled, even among the many excellent teachers I've had. Both my playing and my attitude toward playing evolved significantly under his instruction, and I saw him have the same impact on many others. Anyone would be incredibly lucky to have him as a teacher.

My son has been taking violin lessons for over 5 years and 4 of those years with Anna. Since then she has been molding him into a talented musician. While under her instruction he has auditioned and been accepted into the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra for the last 3 years. She sincerely cares about her students and their musical endeavors. We drive 45 miles from the eastern shore because there isn't another teacher that my son or I would rather him be with. I took violin lessons myself from Anna for about 3 years. I can say as an adult student, she made me feel very comfortable and taught me a lot.

Yalira was my daughters first ever violin teacher. Considering my daughter hadn’t touched a violin before, Yalira made it an enjoyable experience for her to learn the violin. Yalira has been doing a wonderful job on motivating my daughter who used to dread of having her violin lessons in the beginning. In addition to being patient and encouraging, Yalira’s musical expertise is also incredible.

Greta customizes violin lessons to my son's strengths and weaknesses. While Greta challenges him to do his best, he has told me that he feels very comfortable playing for her and being instructed by her. He very much looks forward to his lessons and they've inspired him to practice more regularly.

I found Victor here on this website for a guitar teacher for my son and when it came down to needing to hire a teacher Victor had followed up with me. So I took advantage of the first free lesson and he's been my sons guitar teacher ever since. Victor is very patient and knowledgeable, the personal attention and care he gives to each individual child is wonderful. You can tell that he has a love for music and this is his passion. I've spoken to other families that he teaches(some for several years) and they all agree. He works well with my son on incorporating styles and songs he is interested in as well as teaching music theory and basics. My son was a beginner 6 months ago and now he is playing full songs confidently. He loves coming to guitar class and learning new techniques, and songs. I plan on continuing until my son can pay for lessons himself. I highly recommend Victor Crisen.

Janet was our son's violin teacher for 8 years. She was fantastic! She really catered to his interests. She is a patient and encouraging teacher. She kept him interested and challenged. She was very supportive of his concerts and Solo Ensemble - attending if she was available. He continues to play in college. She held intimate recitals in her home which were a great experience for the students. Thanks, Janet!

As an adult student with no music experience, I think that Christine does a good job breaking down the basics into something that can be easily followed. She is patient and will work to accommodate busy adult schedules. She recommended the Samuel Applebaum String Builder book; which I really like as it teaches the basic hand position along with the associated notes. Rather than learning to play by listening then learning the notes. Again she can tailor her lessons based on children or adults learning abilities.

I have taught children to play string instruments for 11 years using the Suzuki method! The Suzuki Method requires parent involvement, daily listening and practice as well as regular lesson attendance. It is an educational method that addresses the needs of the whole child with the primary focus of developing life skills through the vehicle of music study. I help families learn to communicate more effectively and practice productively. Each and everyone of our students achieves superior playing ability and chartacter! Ms. Glenda
