Rev. Deck is a great writer and very knowledgable of the Bible, I am a facilatator for homeless women in recovery. I have on several occasions asked Joseph to help me put together an exercise to present to the women to enhance their spirituality. I have shared with him the concepts of the 12 steps of recovery and asked how I could relate to them an understanding that God loves them and how to share with them roles that women had in the Bible. I learned so much as he guided me through the Book of Esther, Story of Deliverance in the Old Testament, the Cananite Women and how to encourage the women to be constant and not give up on themselves. He also referred me to the New International Version,where he explained the story of the woman who touched the hem of Jesus' robe and was healed, how she was alone and despaired but came to believe and was healed. He also referred me and explained the Seven Words Of Jesus on the cross. The women in my group were so touched and changed by these few stories that Joseph taught to me. I am not super religious and i am not a minister, but the way, Joseph led me through the stories I was so motivated and enlightened. Joseph is not only fully knowledgable it's the way he translates the message. I work with Joseph, he remains so even and cool. He is a great listener. Sometimes I get frustrated when folks at work just rush upon him with a gazillion questions and he is always so attentive and pleasant, even when they see he is busy, he stops what he is doing to listen and talk with them. One of his strong points is multitasking. He is so well versed, not only does he minister religion & spirituality, I've seen him in the role of social worker, computer tech, maintenance, & parenting. As a friend and employee of Joseph, when I am stressed or upset I have called Joseph to pray for me, my family & my friends. I ALWAYS feel a sense of calm & relief. of relief

I first became acquainted with Rev. Deck as a member of Reid Temple AME Church. Rev. Deck delivers a weekly "miracle prayer" that has never been less than powerful. Rev. Deck is an awesome man of God who also uses humour to break down barriers. Rev. Deck provided pre-marital counseling to my now husband and me. He embodies the spirit of calm and was able to help us negotiate the differences inherent with all couples. Rev. Deck is an objective and compassionate counselor. His Bible-based interventions are essential for any individual, couple, or family. We also had the immense honour of having Rev. Deck officiate our wedding ceremony. We are forever grateful for the role he played in the time leading to our wedding. We are comforted to know we can seek his counsel at any time in the future and plan to do so!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with introductions and we get to know each other through conversation. I have my professional vitae with me in case they want to see some of the things I have done. My goal is to make a great first impression and build to trust as soon as possible in order to get the work done that is in the best interest of my clients

BS in Business with a concentration in International business from Potomac University Working on my Masters of Divinity Degree from Payne Theological Seminary Completed 5 years of the African Methodist Episcopal Church Board of Examiners I am not a licensed "Counselor or therapist" I am a certified life coach, ordained minister in a mainline denomination, with years of experience in empowering people to sustain excellence in their lives.
