My daughter took the SAT three times on her own and received 1060, 1080, and 1100. She really wanted to get to 1250+ because that score would make it a near certainty that she could get accepted by her top-choice colleges. Dane did a 10-week SAT prep course with my daughter, which resulted in her scoring a 1280 on the SAT. Dane was professional, reliable, and supportive, and my daughter was very comfortable with him because it was clear that he truly wanted her to succeed. Several of my neighbors used tutors from large local tutoring companies that were much more expensive than Dane, but their kid's results --- while positive --- were not nearly as good as my daughter's results were. The experience, overall, was outstanding for both me and my daughter and I will definitely hire Dane again when my younger children need tutoring.

I have been with results tutoring for the past four years. Both of my children have benefited tremendously since being apart of Results tutoring. Each child increased their grade point average by two grade levels in Math. And my daughter received reading support as well. The tutors are all highly qualified and passionate about educating each student, ensuring that key concepts ate mastered. My daughter will continue to receive academic support through out the summer.

This tutor was extremely instrumental in helping me pass my precalculus course. I never was strong in math and this course originally presented itself as as a challenge that could potentially prevent me from meeting my degree requirements. The "Guru" was very patient with me as he guided me through homework and how to tackle difficult precalc equations on a step by step approach. My tutor was persisistent and assisted me with problems until he and myself was at a comfortable state and did not stop until he felt that I had a clear and strong grasp of the material. His prices were very reasonable and he accommodated my schedule as well as making sure we had a suitable location in my area for us to meet on a weekly basis. The end results was receiving an "A" in this course which would have never been attainable without his help. I am truly grateful for Mr. Prakash and I strongly reccomend this tutor to anyone who struggles with math and specifically precalc and calc as I continue to work with him as I persue my degree.

Leslie has been tutoring my teenager son for 2 years. Since she started, his English level, writing and reading have improved tremendously, going from below average to beyond expectations. Leslie demonstrated excellent teaching skills, being softer at times and pushing more when needed. Moreover she shown a lot of flexibility to adapt to him and his scheduled when needed and always got the work done. Leslie has been above and beyond expectations!

John was my son's Pre-Cal (as well as his other subjects) tutor, when he was in the 11th grade. John helped him learn new study skills and organizational techniques. My son was extremely comfortable working with him and always improved on whatever they focused on. John is professional and reliable as well as personable. I will be hiring him to help my son with his ACTs this year!

Dr. Fikar was exactly what my daughter needed. She had done group tutoring sessions with another tutor previously, but did not see much effect. Dr. Fikar has a tried and true method that is rigorous but fair. He is extremely patient and provides excellent explanations. I highly recommend him.

How do I prepare for the GMAT?

If you’re thinking of enrolling in graduate school to earn your MBA, it’s time to start thinking about preparing for the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Working with a GMAT tutor is for many people a wise investment to help you strengthen the academic areas you may be weak in and improving your overall test score. A GMAT prep tutor should teach you not only the kind of information you need to know for the test, but the best test-taking strategies. The GMAT tests you on four categories: quantitative, verbal, integrated reasoning, and an analytical writing assessment. Cramming is probably not going to give you good results for this standardized test; give yourself between two and six months to prepare, focusing on your most challenging areas first. Successful GMAT prep means planning ahead and studying thoroughly. Those students who reported studying under 75 hours were more likely to score 400 or lower on the test, while students who studied 121 hours or more were more likely to score 700 or higher on the test. Hiring a GMAT prep tutor can range in price from under $50 to over $200 per hour.

How long does it take to prepare for the GMAT?

Pros recommend planning to spend two to six months for GMAT prep. The test itself is only 3.5 hours long, but your score will have a major effect on what schools grant you admission. If you’d like to be considered for one of the top-tier schools, it’s recommended to score at least a 700. Your goals for your MBA can help drive your GMAT prep. GMAT tutors will guide your study plan and help analyze your strengths and weaknesses. GMAT tutors also offer professional guidance and insights on strategic GMAT test-taking. Avail yourself of free GMAT prep software that provides sample test questions for you to practice. The creators of the GMAT recommend creating a structured study plan detailing when you will study each day and what topics you will study during each session. Take into account what style of learning works best for you (solo study, one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, study groups, prep courses) and proceed accordingly. The test is made up of these four categories, each with an allotted time:

        • Analytical writing assessment: 1 topic, 30 minutes.
        • Integrated reasoning: 12 questions, 30 minutes.
        • Quantitative: 37 questions, 75 minutes.
        • Verbal: 41 questions: 75 minutes.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
