FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am constantly learning new techniques and attaining new certifications for license renewal, keeping up-to-date and legal.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

In my teens I suffered chronic headache pain. Daily medication compounded these difficulties with side effects and weakened immune system. Eventually, after daily self-massage I healed myself. Being free spirited and searching for discovery, I embarked on a walk across country led by Native Americans, alongside Japanese and Tibetan Buddhist Monks. With so many walkers experiencing sore muscles and fatigue, the monks often used their massage skills to assist in healing and rejuvenating the walkers. Discovering the positive results of massage, and the impact it had on the walkers and myself, I made a personal decision and commitment to pursue a career in holistic health.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Licensed Massage therapists in Florida are considered to be health care professionals with a medical license and are governed by the Department of Health. Draping is a mandated requirement. The genitals are not included in a legal massage in the state of Florida - It is a *third degree felony* for a LMT in the state to touch this area.
