Introduction: If you want to play the piano and even possibly make it your career, you have come to the right teacher! Several of my former students are currently playing and singing as a career. I have taught piano for over 30 years, and the exciting part about my teaching is that I offer both note and rote lessons. Reading music on the staff (sight reading) is familiar to a lot of people, but the ability to learn by rote (by ear) is exciting as well. I use music theory to teach how to build chords and use different voicings, as well as how to improvise within a given piece. Please listen to the video of Bridge Over Troubled Water and you will get an idea of how that method of teaching works. I have taught church choirs for 35 years, so I have a strong vocal background there. I've worked with small group acts and soloists as well. I love to teach harmonies and train the ear to be spot on with the pitch. I absolutely believe that you will not be disappointed, and will enjoy the learning process. I have a great sense of humor and contend that one must have fun while learning to get the best results!

I came to Sue as and experienced keyboard player who needed help in playing in the jazz genre. I'm having to relearn 30 years of playing. Is it easy? No way! Is it fun? Well Sue makes it fun and is very encouraging and because of her encouragement, I'm sticking with it and I'm seeing and hearing results. Can't ask for a better teacher, coach, and friend

She has really helped me with my lessons. I already can play... but the knowing of the chords I already play, as well as the new ones has expanded my piano vocabulary. All I have to say is that she is highly recommended.

Ms Sue has been great with my son. He looks forward to his lessons each week and I am amazed at all that he has learned. He even loves to practice! We feel very lucky to have found her as a teacher and plan to stick with her for a long time so that she can continue to use her fun and nurturing style to guide my son in his musical education.

Sue Love is my son's piano teacher. She is patient and kind as the attention span and focus of a young child can waver. She is clear on her expectations for practice and encouraging as progress is made. My son really enjoys going to the lessons and looks forward them each week!

I really enjoyed my lesson with Sue Love. I can tell she cares about getting to know her students and we talked before we started learning. She is very warm and friendly and explains things in a way that anyone can understand. I will keep going back for more.. If you're really into soul like I am, this is definitely your instructor.
