I was looking for self defense training in order to learn how to protect myself. I found Onyx Fitness Training and it was one of the best decisions that I have made! They went over basic jiu jitsu and striking style techniques and I noticed that my core is a lot stronger! They were very nice and welcoming. I really enjoy training here! They also have a full gym for weight training as well! I am more excited than ever because not only am I learning self defense, but I am seeing drastic changes towards my body as well! Visit their website at www.onyx-fitness.com. Amazing training!!!
Kendrick was my Brazilian Ju Jitsu instructor for a year or so, when I dabbled and he is one of the best instructors that I've ever had the privilege of learning from. I have 25yrs in the martial arts and hold a 2nd degree black belt in Bando, so I've had my fair share of instructors during that time. Ken's knowledge of BJJ was impressive, but what I found more impressive was his ability to break down every part of the technique in a simple manner, making it easy for the whole class to follow along. He took as much time as necessary to make sure everyone learned the technique, not because it was the lesson for the moment, but because he wanted everyone to be able to defend themselves. I cannot recommend Ken highly enough as an inductor, in any capacity. If he's teaching, you WILL learn!
I have been training under the guidance of Robert Hutsko from September 2012 to the present time. I am a retired health care practitioner with an interest in fitness dating back to my adolescence. In the past, in addition to my personal weight training experience, I have been employed as a certified life guard and water safety instructor, and as a part-time fitness trainer for the Jack LaLanne Organization. I also hold a degree and certification in education as a Science Specialist and held the rank of Clinical Associate Professor in my professional field. I have maintained an interest in the martial arts dating back to the late 1960's, I have trained in Korean Taekwondo and Okinawan Shorin-ryu under several black belt instructors. Unfortunately, I also have a history of cardiovascular disease. When I retired, I sought to pursue my fitness activities, including my martial arts interests and, with the aforementioned in consideration, was fortunate to find Robert Hutkso. His training and extensive experience in exercise physiology and cardiovascular disease, combined with a highly respected level of achievement as a personal trainer and in the martial arts. These enable him to bring to the table a unique and extremely valuable knowledge base applicable to a broad range of individual needs in the field of fitness, personal health and wellness. He is a pleasant, personable, and patient individual, and an excellent teacher, dedicated to his craft. Based upon my own personal, social, and clinical background and experience, I am confident in recommending him to anyone without reservation.
I have been training with Frank Latella at Move Fitness in Boynton Beach over the last 6 months. I came across Move Fitness online while searching obstacle course training as I hope to run a Spartan Race later this year and I wanted to train with people who are experienced in that type of preparation. When I signed up I was introduced to the HAGANAH program thought by Frank. MOVE Fitness offered this program and all kinds of fitness classes at all hours and after I did all my research I thought the price was fair and programs looked great and since HAGANAH was included I figured I would try it for a while not knowing what it was. I enjoy all the workouts and different fitness training but now the highlight of my day is always looking forward to HAGANAH class. HAGANAH class is more than your normal work out, It also is a learning experience. Frank always has a different workout in place for every class. Frank takes the time to explain what the roots and meaning of the HAGANAH system is and why we are doing what we are doing. There is literally an explanation for every move and technique that he goes over and then builds and builds on what you have learned so in a short period you actually have covered a lot different material. The training program with Frank goes over real life scenarios, and how and when they could be used. I had no idea what I was getting into my first day, and I had never done any kind of material arts or sports, but Frank takes people of all fitness levels and backgrounds and is able to break down techniques that can be applied anywhere and anytime while still getting a hell of a work out. I can tell the difference in the speed and the shape of my classmates from the first day they started to today. In just 6 months I have trained with Frank in combat fitness, gun disarms, knife disarms, close quarter combat, krav maga, kick boxing, knife fighting, speed drills, weight training, full body conditioning, how to defend knife attacks from over a dozen different angles and gun threats from all angles. How to protect and defend punches, kicks, all kinds of different choke holds and take downs. Also how to attack back in all types of different forms from on the ground to with or without weapons. Just taking a minute to think about what we have covered in such short time is amazing. Frank Latella is more than a trainer he is a teacher too. I am proud to be part of his class and would be willing to take that time to say nothing but the best about him. And I invite anybody to try Frank's HAGANAH program weather you want to learn an awesome self defense program or looking for a different way to get in shape. I plan to work out with him for as long as possible and hope to help people see the valve in his program and MOVE Fitness but more importantly in Frank Latella as person. THANKS FRANK!!!!!! I have been at Crave fitness for about a year now. I call Sensei, Yaniv Rosenberg, "the great motivator." His motto is not beast mode for nothing. He cares greatly about each and every one of his students and even has sent a personal message to make sure everything is alright when I have missed consecutive classes. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, and fitness are his focus and he personally makes sure every student is learning the new techniques properly. The gym has a great atmosphere with many people of different skill levels. I feel lucky to have found this gym with an owner that cares so much about his students.
My experience with GM Pedro Rodriguez couldn't be better. He is a very humble person wit full knowledge on the material of martial arts. I've learn so many things with him and his team. Thanks for making me part of it. Bless you brother!
I was looking for a Tennis instructor and Zoe was the perfect fit for me. Although she is very advanced (pro tennis) she was able to explain things to me at a beginners level.
I'm a 64 year old man that has been taking bjj for the past two years with coach Carlos Palacios. It's not easy to start a new discipline at my age. Carlos has the skill to teach students from age 4 to my age 64. I don't think a lot of people would have the skill to pull that off. ATPBJJ is very much a family attitude. I would highly recommend this gym for all ages.
Florida Aikikai - A wonderful dojo to learn Aikido-for both Adults and Children. Friendly and welcoming. Experienced instructors dedicated to the art of Aikido and to inspiring each student to develop at his or her own pace. Sensei Peter Bernath and Sensei Penny Bernath are both master teachers, with the title of "Shihan". All instructors are advanced level experienced teachers and practitioners of Aikido. The childrens program provides a variety of safe, well supervised Aikido learning opportunities and fun events throughout the year. I've noticed that both the adults and children look like they are having fun learning Aikido.
Since I started working out with James I've seen more results in 2 months then I did with my last trainer whom I was with for 8 months with very little results. James goes the extra mile!

Learn from a pro! Our jiujitsu program promotes the concept that a smaller and weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger and stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground-- most notably by applying joint-locks and choke holds to defeat your opponent. At Marcus Aurelio Jiujitsu Academy, we strive to provide a safe, clean, and fun environment for people of all ages and skill levels. We take pride in the knowledgeable, dedicated, and decorated instructor. Marcus Aurelio is a UFC and PRIDE FC veteran.
