I focus on the areas in which I know how to offer resolve in a timely fashion. I won't tell someone that I can offer a service only to arrive and try to figure it out for the sake of getting paid. I know what I can and cannot do before the visit, which increases the chances of me walking out with a satisfied client. In the event that I cannot repair, I do not charge. Not even for the arrival or transportation fee and there is never a contract to sign with me for anything. I'll come in on a handshake and leave on one which is how I like to do business with those in my community. I like the fact that I can help take a person who relies on their computer for a living or for personal pleasure, from an unusable state, to a useable state with some optimizations that many times offer performance gains beyond what they were able to achieve the day they unboxed the computer for the first time. People remember when you do right by them (plus the wrongs), and I have been fortunate to develop the client base that I have, with the help of reputable advertising sites like Thumbtack, plus word of mouth from people whom I have helped.

    Try to provide a technician as much information as possible about the problem(s) you are experiencing, which can sometimes save significant time in offering resolve and help pinpoint an area of the operating system that should be looked at first. I quote 10 - 20 minutes while performing some optimizations because I am not dealing with any troubled or corrupt system files, and I know that after doing this on over 140 computers, these are realistic timeframes that certain processes take.
