This is a reference for Lloyd Skip Clements. Over the past 10 years, Skip has done many projects at our house, large and small, from replacing some doors to totally remodeling a bathroom. Here are a few qualities we really appreciate about Skip: Dependable Skip reviews the project with us, describing what hes going to do, how long it will take, and a ballpark estimate of the cost. We can rely on Skips description being true for the end result. Trustworthy Sometimes we havent been able to be home when Skips been working here. Weve felt secure in leaving him with a key to our house. Hes just an honest guy, with high personal values. Superior Craftsmanship The bottom line is the end result. Skip consistently exceeds our expectations. Weve been amazed at how he has total command over the structure of our house. We asked him to replace a wall-mounted medicine cabinet with an inset cabinet. When he opened up the wall, we discovered that the studs werent in the right position to install the cabinet centered above the sink. No problem, Skip cut some stud sections and rearranged the configuration inside the wall so that the wall remained strong and the cabinet could be securely mounted in just the right position. Then he did some magic with spackle and paint around the cabinet, and when he was done it all looked like original construction perfect! I realize that I am not the cheapest in town but if you read my reviews you will see that I have many satisified customers. Don't expect a BMW if you pay for a Yugo.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
initial meeting with customer to establish what the project entails. Determine if engineered plans are necessary for permitting. Determine if sub contractors are required. Work up a price for the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 3rd generation general contractor
