- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I discuss with the student as to their goals and find a way to achieve them. I encourage practice, also but instill a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment in learning their instrument. Music is something to be enjoyed and looked forward to performing-it puts a smile on my face and my student's as well!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been a student of piano since the age of 6, the guitar since the age of 12, and the bass since 13. There is not a day goes by that I miss playing one or all of those instruments. I learn new material almost daily, work to improve techniques, sight reading, and play with a group of musicians constantly. You can never learn "too much".
- How did you get started doing this type of work? When I first started learning about the piano and guitar at the elementary school level, I felt my instructors couldn't communicate to me, how to play the instrument effectively and get great results in a short amount of time. I strive to get students playing right away - material they are interested in and will in turn, practice because they want to - not because they have to!
