Johanna came to our home to help with our two dogs jumping on people, leash manners and some basic obedience training. She was punctual and professional. Johanna was very personable and sweet to the dogs. We learned so much from her and will be implementing her methods. Hopefully we are able to get them to listen as well as she did! We would recommend Johanna if you are in need of a knowledgeable and pleasant trainer ☺️

I have a 23 pound 1.5 year old poodle with a lot of energy , every time I would walk him 3x a day , he would see a dog that would be 2 pounds , 10 pounds 80 pounds he didn’t care and he would start barking at the other dog, let’s just say my 23 pound dog was walking me , and every time we would go on walks I was speed walking, I felt I could never walk my dog correctly, because I would fear he would see other dogs , if the other dog was a 80 pound dog, my dog had no fear , Johanna has taught me how to walk my dog appropriately she suggested the correct training collar to use while I was walking my dog . after I learned how to walk my dog my dog no longer walks me , my dog would bark jump anytime anyone would come to the door or in my home , Johanna showed us the proper commands using a training leash while we are home he keeps it on . We are now working on sit and stay and I’m able to turn my back,walk to the mailbox and return , he is still laying or sitting in his position. The biggest was anytime I left the home, he would jump try and nip me pull on me, and would get overly excited, because he only likes to go with me in the car on car rides , poodles are very attached to there owners and are very smart dogs, johanna has also taught me me how to work with him when we leave the home and it’s been working great ! Let’s just say , I get my steps in on training days, as my dog gets a great nite sleep after training, I could not have found a better trainer then Johanna she is the dog whisper let’s just say I highly recommend Johanna for your dog! She will take the stress off of you teaching and training your dog and I can say I no longer feel frustrated!

Johanna should have her own tv show - that's how great she is. My husband and I were torturing ourselves thinking we'd have to give back our beloved rescue Tulip, because we couldn't handle her aggressiveness, energy, jumping, biting, barking and overall bad behaviors which she displayed 75% of the time. The other 25% she was perfect which made it so hard. We tried everything, from online classes, books and even pet store training classes — nothing made a difference - except in our wallet!! Then one day I came across an app called Thumbtack and made an inquiry about dog training. Right away I got a message from Johanna and the rest is history. From just one session with herJohanna, Tulip understood who was boss and that it wasn't gonna be her! We immediately arranged for Johanna to come back the following week. With each session we could see a difference in Tulip and within a few weeks more, she was like a different dog! To say Johanna is an expert is an understatement. She's knowledgeable, patient and understanding about everything we asked her about, including health-related issues. We took her advice on all her recommendations and it paid off 100%! Now Tulip can play with other dogs without wanting to fight with them, my arms and legs are healing from bite marks and scabs, she doesn't act like a rabid animal around other people and we can finally enjoy our morning and nighttime walks with her. The only regret you'll have about hiring Johanna is that eventually your time with her will end, but you will have solved your fur-baby issues and have a happy well-adjusted companion to remember her by.
