Introduction: I feel that the philosophical breeds the practical in terms of music and many things in life. I strive to tailor a course of study based on the students needs as well as wants. All manner of communication concerning music other than pure sound is merely symbol. We can learn to develop our creative power by gaining perspective, and that journey can never end.
The fact that no matter what level of student I am teaching I am constantly being challenged to be on my toes and out of my comfort zone musically which causes that zone to expand exponentially!

I had the opportunity to tour with Mr. Grosse for a month across the US. I used the chance to watch him perform incredibly every night. During the free time we had, we would go over concepts and techniques, and he would show me drills and exercises to improve my drumming. I have to admit, it was the conceptual, in-depth explanations that really set my drumming to a new level. Mr. Grosse's professional understanding of the drumming mechanics has been key to freeing my mind from the conventional way of thinking about composing drums, and that could clearly be seen in my new Though not my area, I have been told by professional guitar players (as well as the one who plays in my band) that he is an expert guitar player and instructor. Ruston Grosse is a well known name in the music world because he has worked with some of the legendary musicians in the branch. I had the opportunity to have a couple of sessions with Ruston. As a teacher he is very easy to follow and makes for a very relaxed and educational class. He was able to tailor the lessons towards a few of the songs that I had wanted to learn and I was able to see very good results. I highly recommend him for the beginner and advanced student.

Ruston did a great job teaching drumming. He took his time and really showed me a lot of good pointers on how to be an awesome metal drummer like himself. Some teachers don't want to show you all their tricks, but Ruston has no problem giving his secrets to the student

I have seen Ruston play both drums and guitar and I can say that without a doubt that he is well versed in both instruments and in life in general. This type of teacher will not just teach someone how to play their instrument, but also many things about the business of music!

I worked extensively with Ruston and he is an absolute pleasure to work with. Professional, knowledgeable and fun-loving, Ruston is a very talented musician and has impressive guitar and drumming skills. I would recommend him to anyone!
