We had about 2,700 sq ft of laminate installed by 2 people, which got done in about 3-4 days. I love the quality of the work. The only thing I would have liked better would have been if there wasn't as much dust, wood particles, nails, and other debris all over everywhere. If someone has the chance to get floors installed before moving in furniture, I highly recommend it; the post cleaning is the worst part. Other than that, I would recommend PDS Flooring and Trim Molding. They had competitive pricing, got the job done quickly and efficiently, and worked with our schedule. It is very likely tthat we will use their services again at another property. Thanks!
Over 9 days, George did an amazing job in doing a major facelift to the exterior of our house. Replacing rotted word, power washing, painting, and much more. George did everything asked of him, very efficiently, and with good quality. I have met a good natured person that I can call a friend. My wife and I are highly satisfied, would recommend George and will contact him in the New Year for additional project work.
Since this was a roof repair, I had to wait until it rained to evaluate. Thus far, the repair seems to be a success. Mr. Meeker had excellent follow up and was thorough with the job. He was informative and consciensous about clean up. I would consult for his services again.
Jessie has done work for my entire family and has never been a disappointment. For us he did a shower remodel that turned out just as I had hoped and in a decent amount of time. He had also remodeled my father's bathroom and done some minor repairs to the exterior of the home after my father's sudden passing to help my sister list the home. He is an amazing man and has a wonderful work ethic. I will be hiring him for future projects and recommending him to all friends and family that need any rehab to their homes!
Bryan installed 2 French doors for me, He did a great job, took his time, and ya see that picture of him, he would stand back, with that look, and study his work and he is thinking of the best way to do it. He knows what he is doing and does it well. Very honest, excellent work, he put the trash out, cleaned up... oh and he is quite the gentleman, we had to go to Lowes to pick out door locks and trim, and he even opens the car door for you.. I will definitely hire Bryan again and suggest you do too. I usually do not leave reviews, but it is hard to find honest people these days...that show up when they say they will, and do an excellent job, and show you the best route to go without it costing you an arm and a leg..
There are no words to totally describe all the talent this humble perfectionist holds. Marcus has been working with us on restoring a older home throughout for the last four months...and each and every project was above and beyond perfection. We are almost sad that our endless projects are over...but want others to experience his quality workmanship!! 2005 plank porcelain throughout with all the proper prep work to level and seal the floors...baseboards and trim work too! Addition of master tile walk in shower...including plumbing, framing sealing. Installation of vanities mirrors lighting closet systems. The look is straight out of Houzz...he has exceptional taste in helping select materials and yet maintain budget costs. (or let you choose a color he is not fond of!!) Carpentry throughout was exquisite as he moved through the home with us tackling each and every item with ingenuity and expertise. It IS all the small things in life that really count....and we were so thrilled to find that with Marcus on the project...we didn't need to call in any additional companies to get the job finished. His wife Vivian who also is a perfectionist came to assist in all the construction clean up, detail painting and staging....they are quite the ultimate team! I have worked with many many contractors over the years and no one can compare....if he is available to quote to perform work on YOUR project....look no farther.... in fact JUMP on the chance! I have him on speed dial for any upcoming projects on Sanibel....and it is our pleasure to recommend him ...if you are lucky enough to find that he is available to do your project...hire him on the spot! Blessing to you and Vivian as you go forward Marcus...making customers happy, homes beautiful and collecting life long friendships one job at a time! We are grateful for our "chance meeting" here on Thumbtack!!
the work mark did was fantastic. he refinished the outside of the door so well that when I look at the inside of the door I wonder why I didn't have him do that too. he not only did the door but he painted the trim and side panels. what a difference!
Ryan and Mark renovated my 1925 historic bungalow home of 1500 sq ft and built an addition to increase my house to 3000 sq ft. They were great to work with and very artisticly talented carpenters. The scope of work included rough framing, installation of Anderson windows and doors, interior trim, tongue & groove, ship lap, bead board, board & batten, and reusing old wood framing for interior paneling. My house is beautiful and built stronger and more energy efficient thanks to their excellent work.
Jeff painted the whole interior of the house including new trim and built-ins. Price was very reasonable and finished ahead of schedule. Very clean and no mess on the newly installed Brazilian tiger wood flooring. We have had tons of compliments on the work. Great ideas on colors when not sure what to do. He was a pleasure to work with and we will have him back. Highly recommend using Sand and Sea on any paint project.
Ryan was able to tackle a number of jobs that I had from installing a new gate to regrouting a tile counter, tiling a closet, fixed an exterior wall. He always showed up, was trustworthy, clean cut and I appreciated that he bought all the materials for the jobs. I would hire him again.
My friend Mary has been using Vince for years and referred Vince to use several month ago to replace the back and side half of our fence. He not only allowed us to get the material delivered, he worked around our schedule to get the job done. He explained the cost to us clearly! Out backyard is beautiful again! He and his guys stopped everything when my dog got our and brought her back safely even though it took about an hour out there day!! Vince and his team are highly recommended for fence installation and repair.
I had Julius and his team re-side most of my house and paint the exterior. His men were on time, courteous and professional. Work was outstanding.
He showed exactly when he said he would and went right to work. He did a fantastic job fix the drywall damage and retexturing matches very well. That wall is ready for me to repaint. The repair to my kitchen trim was also done very well and professional. I would hire him again.
Jim is knowledgeable and competent on most any item involving home maintenance, repair and construction. He does a thorough job and doesn't like to skip steps. He helped complete a kitchen demo, build a wall, put up cabinets, put in wood flooring, tiled around bathtub, painted exterior and repaired soffit areas that were hanging or soft. He then came back a few weeks later to fix a problem with a door that was incorrectly hung by a hired handyman. Though the price was a bit steep for this particular project, he spent the time and did the work necessary to get it right. And the overall pricing for the entire work was reasonable and fair. I plan on hiring him again with my next project.
I posted on Thumbtack to find someone to remove the wallpaper in my kitchen and also to texture and paint the walls. C & D responded immediately and showed up the very next day to give us a quote. I hired them, they were able to start the job right away and they did an EXCELLENT job. I have since hired Chad and Daniel for two other jobs (reinstalling our disposer after we got a new sink and then to tear out a wall to install support beams over our fireplace to install our new TV; they also repaired the drywall and repainted the wall). I cannot recommend C & D highly enough...they showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and did everything they said they would do--- they even fixed a couple of little things that they noticed after they got here. C & D respond immediately when I text or call them with questions and/or concerns.
I can not rave enough about Reel Construction, they are second to none. We are new residents of Seminole, FL and bought a home that ended up needing some MAJOR repairs and renovations (including structural). Not knowing anyone locally for the job, we had to depend on our gut to choose our General Contractor. We reached out to countless contractors, called numbers off of vehicles driving down the road and trolled the internet for more hours than we wished. Our scope included: -Demo the entire exterior of the house down to structural wood and replace 30 year old cedar planks with Hardie lap siding and nasty tar paper wrap with Tyvek. -Eliminate 2 windows entirely, convert 2 windows to doors (one sliding and one french), replace 11 other 30 year old windows with up to date, code compliant Anderson windows, convert 1 sliding glass door to a window and cut off a dilapidated, rotted 12ft x 8ft balcony on a third floor. -New roof. Which he was honest in telling me that I was better off contacting a roofer independently and gave me 3 roofers to contact. We ended up Going with Acoma Roofing...also a total home run, great experience, phenomenal outfit! So, after reaching out to dozens of people, it came down to 4 GC's... 1- Guy A, came by to look at the scope and after calling him for a week asking for a proposal, he finally answered the phone and said he did not have time for our job. 2- Guy B, was 3 hours late to a set appointment, "could not find our house", claimed he is a one man show with no overhead which is why his (incomplete) estimate that did not cover my entire scope of work and was suspiciously low...This dude was 80 years old and didn't really "listen" to me during his visit anyways. 3- Guy C, I had to beg him for a face to face meeting to go over the scope of our job for 3 weeks! He finally sent his "new foreman" and he showed up to our house late and with his wife and kids in tow...Then I had to beg him for 3 more weeks for a proposal which I still have not gotten as I write this review. And those are the ones that I got in touch with!!! This doesn't include the countless emails sent and voicemails left with responses that range from no call back or clearly incompetent outfits, to having a yelling match over the phone because "I didn't know what I was talking about and if we are going to start out by you telling me how I'm going to run my job, then go call someone else..." It is exhausting to even narrow it down to 3 equal, or even similar options to choose from. Also, if you are reading this and are wondering who these other outfits are, feel free to call me for more details, my name is Happy 904-716-1616 So on to the good stuff, from day one, Jory was punctual, attentive, accommodating and answered the phone (or called me back by COB) every time I needed him. He is friendly, clean cut and very professional. He is well educated, courteous around my wife and kids and well mannered. Basically the dude has it together and is not a disheveled mess. He made us feel comfortable from the moment we met. He caries himself with the confidence that no job is to big but remains humble enough that you would hire him for a simple bathroom remodel or an inexpensive deck addition...I can confidently say that he has the knowledge and skill to tackle any job. He took care of every detail from pulling permits to assisting with my material order from Home Depot. He negotiated with the scaffolding company on my behalf and took a bill that potentially was $10k to half of that. He coordinated every city and county inspection and did EVERYTHING on the up and up. I do not have a shadow of a doubt that he is the most honest General Contractor that I have met or will ever meet, and that extends to his crews BTW... On several occasions his crews worked at our house with full access to the inside (we had no option) while we were out of town or away for the entire day. Most of the time he was not there the whole day, leaving Crispin, his main foreman in charge. At no point were any valuables in our house (or garage) even looked at, there was plenty of opportunity for stuff to go missing and it never happened, it's not even a thought to these guys. With a lot of hesitation, I gave him the keys to my house, but our stuff remained as safe as if I was there watching them...it blows my mind that people this honest still exist. Everybody from Jory himself, Crispin, Pablo, Vicente, Thomas, Ken and down to the newest helper were there just trying to make an honest living. They represent what is great about America! The quality of his work: I am in the elevator business, I came from oil and power, I know my way around tools...on a few occasions I tried to cut some corners (not compromising the end product or look, but mainly to save money) and he put his foot down and did things right. On one occasion even saying that his name was on the line and he would work with me on the cost of doing it right if he needed to but refused to cut a corner, even when I was asking him to! In any event, we ran into a lot of water and termite damage to the house that was out of scope and he could have nickle and dimmed me to death but instead chose to keep my final bill reasonable (he is not the cheapest guy out there but he is the best by a long shot, and you truly get what you pay for). Now check this out, and I still have a hard time believing this myself, but, he started my job the day we agreed, he finished my job 15 days ahead of schedule and the final bill was within 2% of his original budget... Everything you have read so far is why I am taking the time (that I don't really have) out of my busy day to write such a detailed review. He deserves to be raved about and no, he did not bride me to write this! As you can read, Jory Romano and his crews far exceeded our expectations. I will never go to another outfit for my future remodeling or constructions needs nor will I ever stop raving about how impressed I am with Reel Construction!
Drew has done an outstanding job painting the exterior of my house. Very detailed and very clean. Thank you
I don't know where to begin! This man has worked absolute miracles on my home! He has done painting, drywall, plumbing repair, tree trimming, removed a drop ceiling and created a new drywall ceiling, removed ancient paneling and made old rooms look new! He has even hung curtain rods and light fixtures and installed a new vanity and faucets. He shows up and works hard and is honest about what needs to be done. Very fair prices and excellent work!! Highly recommend!!!
