Emily & Co. Photography
I found Emily shortly after I started planning my wedding. Photographs were something I knew were going to be very important to me. Everyone that I spoke to told me how quickly the day passes (to which I can now say- they were all right…), and how wonderful it is to have those moments captured to reflect on. My husband and I knew we also wanted a more relaxed and natural feel and look to our wedding photos. After reviewing Emily’s work, she seemed like the perfect fit. I began our consult with the words every photographer dreads hearing, “We hate having our photos taken.” This didn’t deter Emily in the least. She asked all the right questions and we clicked. I knew that she was the person who would get my photo-hating groom out of his shell. Our engagement session was a blast, and our photographs turned out fabulous. Everything felt natural and not awkward at all. We got a sneak peek about a week later and she made herself available to send HD or Web copies of whatever we needed- which was super helpful as we used some of them for my Bridal Shower. Our wedding was similar to the feel of our engagement shoot. Everything flowed naturally and Emily did a brilliant job of capturing the perfect moments. She was very accommodating when guests who had specific requests, but quick to return to capturing all of the un-posed moments. She brought along her assistant and a second photographer, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We can’t wait to reach out to Emily again for whatever comes next in life!Jun 2, 2017Verified
Emily!! You are absolutely amazing! You made my husband and I so comfortable and made the experience so wondeful. I would recommend you over and over again to anyone and everyone I know. I can't wait to see the final wedding photos but I know they will be as beautiful as the engagement photos we took! Can't wait!Mar 4, 2016Verified

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer an hourly rate for my photography services for weddings of $250/hour. I also have collections that combine my hourly coverage with my canvas and albums. The same can be done with my engagements and anniversary sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? From your inquiry, I send you my wedding catalog in addition to a lot of questions which are unique to each person. I also send out a wedding day timeline, outlining all of the areas that are normally photographed along with an estimate on how long each area costs which in the end, give you a rough estimate for how much coverage you may need. If from there, you would like to move forward, I shoot you over my wedding photography contract. You will typically bring both of those to our first meeting where we chat about your wedding day, the two of you as a couple and what you are looking for in your wedding photography. My goal is always to make sure that we are the perfect fit for one another. We will meet two more times leading up to your wedding day. at our second meeting, we will walk through your venue so I can follow up with questions from your contract and find locations where you may like some formal photos. This also is when I give the last bit of homework that we will go over on our last meeting a month before your wedding day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Being an almost completely self taught photographer, I love learning new things about photography and especially anything that will help me improve. I do my own projects in photography aside from wedding photography to keep my creativity and inspiration alive and I think it is critical that anyone in this profession does or it is easy to get burnt out.
