Introduction: I pride myself on being very custom. I am going to ask a lot of questions and try to deliver EXACTLY what YOU need and want, and not my idea of what I think is best for you. Also, I have been told over and over that although my cakes look great, it's their taste that keeps people coming back for more. I make an excellent tasting cake! The creativity of it. It's my art. I love to sing and dance and I do both pretty well, but baking and designing cakes is incredibly fun and rewarding. And when I do it well, the praise and acknowledgement of the happy customer, keeps me going. :-)

Shelly has made three excellent cakes for me over the last year. One was an awesome science themed cake, the other two were for my wedding. I was 100% pleased with all three. Not only are Shelly's cakes visually appealing, they taste amazing. They are always moist, never ever dry, and even her fondant is tasty. Everyone at my wedding complimented me on the cakes, especially the Portal-themed one. If you want a unique and tasty cake, Shelly is the best choice possible!

Shelly's cakes are INCREDIBLE. One for one. We gave her the task of creating a highly specialized cake with very little notice, and she delivered an amazing product that MADE the party. I highly recommend her!

I was recommended to use Shelly for my wife's birthday cake. My wife was in Clearwater on holiday and I was back home in the UK.Despite Shelly not being able to bake the cake herself, she really put herself out to assist me and arranged a fantastic cake for my wife at very short notice! My wife loved the cake and was very happy. Shelly was always keeping me updated on what was happening and I was confident that she was able to make it happen. Thank you Shelly! I've finally got my wish granted. Shelly and her magic cake hands! She did a custom cake for both of my girls birthday party. One of Elmo and the other of Zoey. Absolute perfection. Everyone at the party wanted to know who did it and were in love. She's worth it. The attention to detail to make a 3D cake Elmo and 3D cake Zoey. Wow! She's so hands on with the cakes it's really what you want. I will use her again! I'm still amazed by her cakes.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved to cook and bake. And I always thought I was pretty good at it. But I went to a cake decorating class at my local craft store because my 14 year old daughter wanted to go. We went together and had a blast. For the class I had to decorate a cake and I did one for my friend who was having a birthday. They LOVED it! That hooked me. It was so fun! I didn't really stop from that point on.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When requesting a quote, try to give as much information as possible. How many people will the cake need to serve? Do you want fondant or butter cream? Add photos of ideas you have for the cake. Information like this helps the person giving you the quote to be accurate.
